The bassinet we have for our baby is one we received from friends who used it for all of their kids. The mattress, or pad, it came with was flimsy and made of foam. This mattress is perfect. I did not have any size issues since I actually measured my bassinet before ordering to make sure it was the right fit. The mattress fits great, is firm but, not rock hard and has a built-in protector for spit-up or other accidents. I love that it is organic, so no need to worry about what chemicals your baby is inhaling.

I purchased this mattress while it was on sale for a Moses basket. I don't like the foam mattress that was in the Moses basket because of the toxins that could be in it. I'm so happy the measurements are correct. It fits perfectly in it. I'm so extremely happy about that! :-)

I bought this mattress because I hated the idea of my newborn sleeping on foam. Generally stinky foam that was still off-gassing. This mattress worked really well and I bought the crib mattress from them as well. I didn't worry about it. It is organic with a coat of food grade polyethylene. Worked for me.

When I purchased a bassinet for my daughter, I did not like the flimsy mattress that came with the bassinet. I began to look for a new mattress for the bassinet and found this. Make sure you measure the bassinet before ordering this item. I did and it fits well. A friend of mine didn't and it doesn't fit her bassinet.

After 2 1/2 months of continuous use, the mattress is still holding up well. It is starting to take on my daughter's impression. It would be nice to "flip it" to even out the wear and tear on it but it does not appear that that will work. Hence the four stars.

The price has gone down since I purchased my bassinet too.

All in all this is a good mattress for the price and is a much better option than the standard flimsy mattress that usually comes with a bassinet.

I ordered this mattress for the Nature's Purest Soothing Comfort bassinet. The bassinet has lots of great organic components, but comes with the typical flimsy vinyl/foam pad. I knew this mattress would not fit perfectly (it's a little shorter), but I stuffed cloth diapers into the bottom of the sheet and feel comfortable with the fit now. I love the feel of the mattress. It has no smell and is far thicker and more supportive than the original pad.

Question: Does anyone know of a fitted sheet that works really well on this mattress? The sheet that came with the bassinet works great, but I would like another well-fitted sheet that will hold my diaper "fill-in" in place.

It's better than I expected. So much thicker and nicer than the usual flimsy, thin pad that came with our bassinet. This is an older bassinet we used for our first daughter and we just dug it out of storage since we're expecting baby #2. We had all the parts but the mattress, maybe we threw it out before, who knows. I was about to buy a replacement flimsy pad when I decided to check on Amazon and I found this. Yes, the price is a lot more than the thin pad, but it's so worth it! I highly recommend it. I didn't even measure our bassinet. I figured an oval bassinet mattress would be pretty standard - I was right. It fits perfectly. I am so happy with the quality, thickness and firmness of this pad.

I love this Naturepedic mattress for my baby's bassinet. Naturepedic is one of the only organic mattress companies I trust and they have delivered with this mattress as well! It fits great and is much more padded than the other toxic one. Plus, there are no fumes and no harmful chemicals!

This seems nice, but I thought the price was high for the new one. Got it "used" for less than half the price, seemed to be brand new and that was worth it. I gave it one less star becasue it seemed expensive new, but I dont know the cost to manufacture.

What's not to like? It's organic, and waterproof. It fits a standard sized bassinet, and is the perfect alternative to the flimsy, plastic, toxic mattresses that come with most bassinets. Why wouldn't you want the best for your newborn? And it's cheap too.
