I love this mattress and so does my daughter, who sleeps soundly on it each night. I had bought the waterproof organic mattress from Naturepedic but prefer this one as it supports her body more gently and I would rather place a waterproof pad under her bottom area than have her sleeping on an entirely waterproof mattress. This is the kind of mattress I'd sleep on... if we could afford a king size organic mattress! Naturepedic has great customer service and were really helpful in making sure we had the right mattress for our needs. Highly recommended.

After plenty of research on which organic mattress to choose we went with the firm quilted organic cotton. Our son who is now 15 months old loves it!! I have no complaints. I believe paying the extra money for the quilted cover is worth every penny. I had read too many negative reviews about the plastic covering on the other organic mattresses being too noisy and uncomfortable. In the end we're glad we went with this one.

Like any parent, we wanted to buy the best organic mattress we could find, for our little one. We had 2 choices - either this one or another organic mattress that one of biggest warehouses sells at a third of the price. We picked this one, because we thought it to be better quality.

After 3 weeks of sleeping on this mattress, it has deformed under the baby's weight (all 6 1/2 - 7 1/2 lbs) and it has become all 'wavy'. When we received the mattress, we checked it and there were no obvious defects. Now - we can understand this starting to fail in 1 year, but 3 weeks is simply unacceptable for something so expensive.

Considering our buy, we know realize that - in this case - higher price didn't mean better quality, but a manufacturer taking advantage and inflating their price to suggest it.

Our 2 cents - stay away from this and check your local warehouses. You may be able to get same quality at a third of the cost. In our case - we will probably have to buy a new one soon and plan to practice what we preached.

This mattress exceeds our expectation - our daughter is very comfortable sleeping on it. Naturepedic makes similar mattress that is not quilted that is also good but I would suggest paying little extra for quilted mattress. We only using it for couple of months but it seems that this product will not lose its integrity and firmness for many years (unlike of other mattresses).

We love our Naturepedic quilted crib mattress!!! They are worth every single penny! Very nice and very well made- I feel much better knowing our child is sleeping on a SAFE mattress with NO bad chemicals. We also have the organic waterproof cover and sheets and they are perfect together with this mattress!

First of all the mattress smells really awful.
After couple of weeks my 7 pound baby is sleeping on an indentation. It is curved under her weight. I am going to return it. Do not buy this product.

We like everything about this mattress - no chemicals, fits our crib well, quilted top is very comfy - EXCEPT for the fact that there is now an indentation where our baby lays after just 3 months of use. Considering the fact that this is a 252 coil mattress (which we specifically bought for a higher coil count for more firmness), this is very disappointing. I have just called the customer service number to see what can be done, but we are hesitant to just get a replacement if it's just going to indent again. Really too bad, because this is a very nice mattress otherwise.

My baby's been sleeping on this mattress for nearly a year and it still looks and feels new. It's nearly the same thickness as a mattress made for adults. My mother has one of the less expensive Colgate eco-mattresses at her house for my daughter's visits, and while there's nothing wrong with that mattress, I'm glad I got this one for her to sleep on the majority of the time and the other one is just for naps. The Colgate mattress is about 1/3 the thickness of this one and is foam-based, so I don't know how long it will hold up. Considering my daughter will be using this mattress for several years, including in her toddler bed, I feel it's a good investment. It also eases my mind that she won't be exposed to toxic fumes off-gassing from regular mattresses. For me it was worth it to spend more for this one. Recommended

I bought this mattress in June 2009 for the upcoming Sept baby. I have not been disappointed. My son seems comfortable, slept through the night in his crib from day 3. I use an organic cotton waterproof cover over this mattress, and I have to say, you wouldn't think this will be nearly 2 years old this June! My husband and I are expecting another baby this October, and I am certainly buying a second one. I agree with another reviewer, I wish this was KING sized for me!
