I'm not sure why this product doesn't get better reviews. It contains 800mg of folic acid, which is being recommended now over the standard 400 or 600; it has a safe amount of Vitamin A to ensure you won't accidentally overdose on it; it contains enough iron to get you through the first two trimesters; and contains either 100% of vitamins you may have a hard time getting in your diet, or less than 100% of those that you are either very likely to get through your diet (vitamin B2), or that you are supposed to take smaller amounts of during the day in order to increase absorption (calcium).

The pills aren't enormous and are oval-shaped, making them easier to swallow. They are recommended to be taken with a meal - so those who may complain of nausea, eat something first! And like all pills, they should be taken with a FULL glass of water, not a little sip like the other reviewers are doing! You want the pill to reach your stomach quickly - not get lodged in your throat.

Just because these cost less than Stuart Prenatal or other brand-names, does not mean they are junk. Yes, you will need a separate DHA pill (I use Expecta). Yes, you may need additional iron supplementation later (but only if your doctor says you are anemic - most common in third trimester). But no, you do not need to spend $30 per month to get the right level of vitamin supplementation for your pregnancy.

Been taking these since before I was pregnant in order to get the folic acid in my system. Baby is now 4.5 months old and I'm still on them for breast feeding. They are great!

No complaints whatsoever on these. They are significantly cheaper than other prenatals I looked at. When I open the bottle, I'm not hit with that strong smell that most vitamins have. They are smaller and easier to swallow than expected. Best of all, my hair and nails have begun to grow like crazy!

I never had a problem using these prenatals. They seem to be easy on the stomach compared to other brands.

I am trying to conceive so I don't want to spend big bucks on prescriptions just yet so for now these are just okay. If you are a decent pill taker you should be fine but I gag these down. I felt it was easier to take the pill with a drink of pop or even skim milk. Nothing too thick but not thin either- so I usually just get enough pop that I need to swallow the pill and then drink water so that I am not drinking so much pop. For those who might be nauseated - that might help. You can't really taste them but they do not seem appetizing at all.
Also these do not have DHA in them at all. You will need to get a DHA only supplement to take with this as well. My doctor suggested Expecta to me. I get that at Walmart- you get a 30 day supply for about 10 bucks.
I bought these prenatals at Kmart. I would recommend these for those not yet pregnant but trying to conceive. Once you are pregnant- maybe getting a better brand or prescription from your doctor.
