The Best B12 Liquid on Amazon

It's unfortunate that when you search "B12" this product doesn't come up, because this is the best B12 sublingual on Amazon.

You get 1200 mcg B12 per dose (200 times the RDA), which is more than most and almost certainly ample unless tests suggest you have severe malabsorption problems. In addition, you get at least 100% of your RDA for riboflavin, niacin, B6, and pantothenic acid.

It's easy to take, with a neutral flavor and 1ml dose (some liquids are as much as 5ml per dose, meaning they are hard to take and very expensive per dose). It's also cheap; you get 4 bottles, or 236 total doses (and it's free-shipping eligible).

I have to take B12 daily, and I've tried several methods, including shots, tablets, and liquids. This is my favorite.

Vitamin B-12 warning: Avoid cyanocobalamin, take only methylcobalamin

The most commonly available form of vitamin B-12 on the market is the cheap synthetic form that's actually bound to a cyanide molecule (yes, cyanide, the poison). It's called cyanocobalamin, and you'll find it in all the cheap vitamins made by pharmaceutical companies and sold at grocery stores and big box stores.

Action item: If you have any vitamin B-12 supplements, check the ingredients label right now to see what form of vitamin B-12 they contain. If they contain cyanocobalamin, throw them out!

Cyanocobalamin is a cheap, synthetic chemical made in a laboratory. It's virtually impossible for you to find this form in nature. Low-end vitamin manufacturers use it because it can be bought in bulk and added to products with claims that they "contain vitamin B-12!" What they don't tell you is that the vitamin is bound to a toxic, poisonous cyanide molecule that must then be removed from your body by your liver. Cyanocobalamin is also up to 100 times cheaper than the higher quality methylcobalamin

Cyanocobalamin, in summary, is a low-grade, low-quality and slightly toxic (cyanide) form of vitamin B-12 that's used by all the cheap vitamin manufacturers. I recommend avoiding it completely. It won't kill you to take it, of course, but there's a better solution for B-12.

The better choice: Methylcobalamin

The proper form of vitamin B-12 to supplement is called methylcobalamin. This is the form that exists in nature, and it is pre-methylated, meaning it's ready for your biochemistry to put to immediate use. Methylcobalamin has several key advantages over cyanocobalamin:

* Better retention in tissues
* Contains no toxic cyanide
* Supports production of SAMe

A Nutrition Product that Actually Works!

I generally do not have much use for vitamin, or other nutritional suppliments. But this product is excellent, and I actually feel it's effect...almost immediately. The ingredients go directly into one's bloodstream...directly from the caplillaries under the tongue. I've used this for years, and highly endorse it. If one has annoying sciatica pain (from inflamed nerves) the sublingual b's give nearly instant relief.

This is a quality B complex, easy to take, mildly and pleasantly flavored. Well priced. Be aware that the included dropper type measure in the cap drips a little so lean over and don't get this stuff on your clothes, it's iodine colored. I'm pleased with this supplement.

Pleased with the Flavor, Easy to Use

Being hypothyroid and adrenal insufficient (Addison's disease) among other things, I was tested and found to be low in many of the nutrients my body needs. My metabolism had shut down and my doc said I had metabolic syndrome to go along with all the other health issues I have. So she helped me develop a vitamin routine and regimen that would best benefit the needs of my body, based on my comprehensive metabolic panel from the CBC labwork. In addition to low potassium, magnesium and calcium, I was also low in certain B vitamins. My doctor explained how some people cannot convert B vitamins from their inactive form in vitamin supplements to the active form the body needs. So she prescribed a nutritional supplement only available by prescription, called Metanx.

To supplement that, she wanted me to get a good sublingual B complex, and suggested a few to try. Every one of them tasted nasty, to the point where i could not tolerate having them in my mouth. The Nature's Bounty sublingual vitamin B complex has a pleasant enough taste. I mean, I wouldn't drink it for pleasure, but when one has to hold this under their tongue for 30 seconds, one wants it to taste good enough not to gag and spit it out before the benefit is there.

With this orange, slightly thick but not gooey, liquid B complex mixture, you open the packaging (very well sealed), and then take on dropper full and squirt it under your tongue. Then you hold the mixture there for at least 30 seconds. The premise for sublingual dosing is that it bypasses the stomach and the intestines for breaking it down and instead works into the bloodstream faster for better and faster results, particularly for people who might have trouble metabolizing medications and foods.Read more ›

I have some pill form vitamin b complex stinking up my cabinet because I haven't taken it. When I started searching vitamin deficiency when my doctor ruled out hormone problems, I heard of a lot of people talking about this supplement. Although some don't like the taste, if you have symptoms of b complex deficiency, you can chase it with a bite of food or flavored drink or juice and the taste immediately leaves. I haven't taken it long term yet, but have found that it so far has given me a boost like everyone is talking about. I used to try to nap in the middle of the day and had insomnia really bad. In just a few days, I found myself tired enough to go to sleep at night and feeling more well rested when the alarm goes off.
