Too big for a conure,

This toy is labeled as being sized for a conure. I have a Blue Crown (one of the larger conures) and it's too big for him. I saw the same toy but smaller in a pet shop, bought it and my bird loves it. If I had known the size of this thing I would not have bought it. The largest conure is still a lot smaller than a Amazon or Macaw.

it's OK,

I was given this as a gift by a friend whose birds were 'to small' to turn the rings. However, my medium sized parrot has just as much difficulty turning the rings. He's usually able to get treats out of the bottom ring, or if I cheat and line them up in a way that very little turning is needed, but it still takes time, which I guess is a good thing because it keeps him engaged. This toy would get 5 Stars if it was designed in a way to turn more smoothly. I have to admit, I had some trouble turning them myself sometimes. The problem can be fixed to an extent, by loosening the screw that keeps it all together. I discovered this after taking the entire thing apart to wash. However, this won't fix the entire problem. Recommended for larger birds only.

I was looking for foraging toys for my foster B&G Macaw and saw this. Once I learned how to fill it, he's had a blast, both turning the rings and grabbing it by the top link and shaking it to get out treats. He loves working with it and getting it to give up whatever I've put inside it. I have it hanging in the middle of his cage so he can't smash it against the bars. I would definitely recommend this to help keep an intelligent bird busy and happy.

This toy is very well made. My Umbrella Cockatoo has not harmed it....BUT he figured it out in two days and can now solve it in 30 seconds or so. Great toy and concept, but definely a no brainer :)

My Cockatoo had this figured out in about 30 minutes. Didn't offer as much stimulation as it appeared it would.

Bad toy, too complicated for Parrot,

Bad toy, too complicated for Parrot, bought it a while ago. Waste of Money and time. Parrot is not interested and no surprise, since it's really hard to figure out how to get seeds from inside. To rotate 1 section you need to hold the other one... How the ... parrot supposed to hold the second one at place? I do not recommend this toy.

Never Boring or Breakable,

My rehab Goffin's Cockatoo digs into this each day. It is especially useful when I have to leave her to run errands. Of course, she knows how to solve it, but I vary the treats I put in it. That way, she always has a surprise. I also cheat, but not to make the toy easier as some others mentioned, but to make it harder...I put the treats on the level not in the treat chamber as well as in the treat chamber. Sometimes the levels might jam when I do this, but that only provides more interest for this cockatoo. However, between this toy and five others, she is usually distracted enough that she leaves some treats on the middle layer. That is reassuring in case I am ever gone longer than expected. This toy is much too big and complicated for my Green Cheeked Conure though.
