5.0 out of 5 stars Senegal Loves It!
~ Originally, I purchased the silly saucer for our parrotlet but he could care less about it. Different story with our senegal. Sadie's very is interested in the design and moving balls.

2.0 out of 5 stars My bird didn't like it
Well, I put it in the cage, and my bird never touched it. Doesn't mean yours won't... but it may be too large and intimidating for a smaller bird.

My bird has had one in his cage for quite awhile. He attacks it and hangs upside down from it. He sneaks up on it and then makes it spin. He really likes it. For the money, it's the best toy he has. I bought two more in case he destroys them, but it's holding up well. If you have a very active bird, it's a great way for him to burn off some of that energy.

I gave one of these to my green-cheeked conure, and he loves it! It's pretty sturdy, and I expect it to hold up well.

I chose this for my Meyers Parrot, who ignores most toys, so to make him jealous I placed it on my African Grey's perch stand and he loves it! Since it has been only 2 days will place it back with the Meyers next week and possibly be getting another! It is not as it appears in picture is more of a flat round shape in hard plastic which is ok,I added a wooden bead to the "tail" for added interest. Kool toy.

So far the bird has not played with it, but I have hopes. Seems to be of good quality.

5.0 out of 5 stars my Parrotlet loves it, November 24, 2011

It took a few days for my parrotlet to play with this toy, but now he has a blast with it. He tugs on it, and hangs from the rope at the bottom, and does little excited dances on the perch next it while playing. I'll move it soon so he can get to the top of it easily, too. Very, very cool little toy !

5.0 out of 5 stars Meyers parrot uses it all day, August 5, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Nature's Instinct Rythemwise Silly Saucer Small for Parakeets, Cockatiels, and Similar Birds (Misc.)
At first, my Meyer's parrot didn't like it, and I was afraid that he would ignore it, like he does with many toys. Now he plays with it all day, and I can definitely hear when he's playing. He chews up the rope at the bottom and attacks it to try to get the marbles inside. I'm not sure if he does that out of love or hate, but no other toy has ever kept him busier. It will stand up to heavy use for a long time, unlike some other toys that lasted a few days. The possibility of swallowing the marbles or screws can be a concern, but I don't expect any problems due to the durability of the toy.

If your bird is scared of it at first, it will probably be afraid of any new toy that is introduced into the cage. You have to leave the toy outside of the cage in plain sight for a few days if the bird is scared, and show the bird how to play with the toy to get them curious about it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for little birds, August 5, 2011

This review is from: Nature's Instinct Rythemwise Silly Saucer Small for Parakeets, Cockatiels, and Similar Birds (Misc.)
I purchased this in early July for my Quaker and Blue Crowned conure who share a cage. While the conure is a bit over sized for the toy, they both adore chewing on it, shaking it around and grabbing the rope knot on the bottom. It makes lots of noise and they seem fascinated by that as well. So far it's held up fantastically, no scratches, chips or loosening of screws despite being rough handled by a larger bird. I'd recommend this, however, more for parotlettes, cockatiels, quakers, smaller conures and budgies due to its size. My birds love it.

My keet did not like this product...she much prefers something to tear apart!
