a bunch of garbage
I had to purchase this text for a class taught by Dupuis herself at UC Santa Cruz, which was by and large, the worst course I took during my time there. Her book reflects this, as it is a compilation of sociological garbage that makes little sense. This book was most likely published due to the pressures professors are given to produce materials in the UC system. It...

I purchased this book while doing a research project on the consumption of milk in American culture. This book does not intend to answer the highly debatable question of whether or not milk is good or bad for you, but rather does a great job of focusing on why we drink so much milk in the first place. If you are a milk lover or milk hater, have an interest in food and society, or are just curious to learn more about milk, I recommend this book.

This book was most likely published due to the pressures professors are given to produce materials in the UC system. It still burns me to think I wasted my time and money on this book, and that the author had the nerve to assign it to her class. Pathetic.
