Great Prenatal!,
This review is from: Nature's Plus - Ultra Prenatal, 180 tablets (Health and Beauty)
Please pay attention to the type of vitamin A before dismissing this product. Nature's Plus uses "whole food". The above review concerned me which made me research more. Here's what I found from a National Toxicology Program:
"Supplementation of 8,000 IU vitamin A (as retinol/retinyl esters) per day should be considered the recommended maximum prior to or during pregnancy until further evaluations can be performed in the human population. **It is important to determine the type of vitamin A consumed, since beta-carotene has not been associated with vitamin A toxicity in animals or man.**" 100% of the vitamin A in these vitamins is beta carotene which has been found to be safe. I love these vitamins and can take them any time of the day without feeling sick!

Beware of High Vitamin A,
This review is from: Nature's Plus - Ultra Prenatal, 180 tablets (Health and Beauty)
According to the Mayo Clinic Guide to a Healthly Pregnancy, too much Vitamin A can cause certain birth defects and it should not be supplemented more than 5,000 IUs. This prenatal vitamin contains 10,000 IUs. Be sure to consult with your doctor as to how much Vitamin A you should be taking before you use this vitamin supplement. Upon informing my doctor that I was taking this product, he imediately told me to stop using it because of its high Vitamin A content.

My GoTo Vitamin for Nearly 20 yrs,
This review is from: Nature's Plus - Ultra Prenatal, 180 tablets (Health and Beauty)
This has been my GoTo Vitamin for nearly 20 yrs! I usually buy them thru Amazon. I have not found any vitamin better than this. The reviewer who gave it a low score did not realize that many people NEED to take prenatal vitamins due to health issues. High Vit A MIGHT be a concern IF you are preggers depending on your diet, but eating McD's is WAY worse! However, I have been taking 1-2 of these a day on and off for nearly 20 yrs and have only had positive results! I also have gluten intolerance, am allergic to all grains except rice AND have hypothyroidism.

Love it!,

This review is from: Nature's Plus - Ultra Prenatal, 180 tablets (Health and Beauty)
This is the only prenatal I've found that I can say I really love! Only two pills to swallow (they are big, but I'll take that over 6 smaller ones any day!). They are not metallic tasting like others I've tried. Highly recommend them.

pain, pain, pain,
This review is from: Nature's Plus - Ultra Prenatal, 180 tablets (Health and Beauty)
These were fine for about a month and then they turned on me. I always took them with a meal but even that couldn't keep the pain away. They induced an agonizing, burning, acidic sensation in my stomach that wouldn't go away for hours and hours. The pills are gigantic, too.
