A version of Vivaldi's Four Seasons (and not a bad one), this is marked by some of the most beautiful nature photography I've ever seen, synchronized to the music. The seasons of the year are matched with the sections of the music, the scenes change with the musical phrases, and even the animal motions are frequently synched with the beat of the music. This could be precious/yucky, but it never is.

The overall effect is infinitely soothing. If you watch this at the end of a stressful day, I guarantee that you will be relaxed by the end. Even my 3 year old grandson, attracted by the wildlife photography, wound down from full riot mode to a civilized pace, and soon fell asleep.

I have the laser disk, and it is one of the best video transfers I have ever seen - the sharpness is phenomenal. I eagerly await the DVD version. In the meantime, you won't go w rong with the VHS unless you want the ultimate in visual sharpness.

I first saw Nature's Serenade on PBS back in 1997. I was enamored with the cinematography and music, and bought a VHS copy of the program in the early 2000s. Sadly, there is no DVD available, and Readers Digest doesn't seem interested in making one either. If you still have a VHS player, I highly recommend this tape. You can find it for around $1 (used) on Amazon too.

Beautiful scenery and photography! Especially the way they matched the music to the sights and images. Excellently done! And the performance of Vivaldi's music is superb, as well! All in all, this is a very relaxing and gratifying experience in sight and sound. JR

We were fortunate enough to find this video for sale in a thrift store, and have been using it happily for several years now. I only wish I could find it in a DVD format! We have used it successfully to relax and sooth everyone in the family--from our energetic two year old clear up to Dad! Was the best 99 cents I think we ever spent! Someone please tell me it's available in DVD ?!!

I found this video delightfully refreshing for the classical music that was playing while the visual portion of the video moved my spirit along in a relaxed yet exhilarating way. Truly an uplifting experience for your soul!
