My pappy loves it but to spendy to keep buying for him. I bought it because I can't get the raw locally. This is easy to feed but does'nt go far.

Most raw diets are exceptionally nutritious and resemble the original dog diet. Freeze dried is the next best option. My dog is a fussy boxer and didn't like the Natures Variety raw diet but this raw version is a hit and makes up half her diet. The medallions are approx 1" thick and 1.5" dia. They are firm but not crunchy hard; you can crumble/breakup with your hands. My dog likes them whole and plays with them before eating. Unlike raw, canned, or moistened food you can leave these out w/out refrigeration. This makes them perfect for travel or for dogs that like to nibble during the day. You can serve these rehydrated or dry, alone or over kibble. These are also available in chicken and lamb which is good so you can rotate the types of protein you provide. My dog likes them all. There are approx 40 in a 12 oz bag. The company recommends 10 medallions for daily portion of a 30 lb dog. The only con is the price. But for some of us price is never an issue when it comes to our babies!
