I take a statin for my high cholesteral - blood tests for Liver function have always been high. since I started taking Thislyn the test are well within normal limits. Smoking and alcohol also cause high blood tests for liver function. A hepatologist At University of Wisconsin recommends milk thistle for smokers, drinkers and thoughs who take heart medication and that Thisilyn is the best.dknron

Due to meds my liver enzymes increased. Took a new blood test after taking this for about 4 months and the number dropped over 20 points. I'm not a Dr. so I can't scientifically say it was due to this brand of Milk Thistle but it is sure a wonderful coincidence. I will not take any chances and continue to take this indefinitely. I like that this brand says Maximum Absorption. I believe it!!!! The pharmacist in Wilner Chemists recommended this brand as the best.
