I've taken Nature's Way Vitamin C for several years, and it's an excellent product. According to the product label, each gelatin capsule contains 500 mg of Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) and 300 mg of citrus bioflavonoid complex (from lemon, orange, grapefruit, lime, and tangerine), including hesperiden and naringin. The manufacturer's recommended serving size is two capsules (1,000 mg).

The plastic bottle has a screw-on cap with a flip-up dispenser.

Note: at the time this review was written, the product picture showed a bottle labeled "Vitamin C-500 with Rose Hips." However, the product that was delivered was "Vitamin C-500 with Bioflavonoids."

Brief review: Good product, no complaints. Not sure that it's any better (or worse) than any other Vitamin C.

Long Story:
A few months ago I started having trouble with tinnitus (ringing in the ears) as well as dizziness, mild vertigo, and disequilibrium. I read several places that taking Citrus Bioflavonoids was thought to minimize or cure tinnitus so I bought Nature's Way Vitamin C 500 with Bioflavonoids (250 Capsules) from Amazon.com thinking it couldn't hurt to try.

I took anywhere from 500mg to 3000mg per day (spaced out throughout the day) of this product and it never had any impact on my tinnitus. And there's a good reason for that. I eventually discovered that my tinnitus, as well as dizziness/vertigo/disequilibrium, was actually caused by muscle tension in the neck and jaw areas. I'm a male in my 30's and, as a computer programmer, I spend a lot of time sitting at a computer, often with poor posture, sometimes stressed out and clenching my teeth. I'm currently seeking a variety of treatment (mostly body work) for my muscle tension and it's underlying causes and I can say that my tinnitus, dizziness, and muscle tension have been very slowly lessening.

It's my observation that most doctors do not come anywhere close to accurately diagnosing the cause of tinnitus, maybe because medical science has yet to uncover (or accurately describe) all the underlying causes for tinnitus. Because of this, there is lots of confusion when it comes to treating tinnitus (it's generally untreated or treated with depression/anxiety meds).

I believe there might be a small group of tinnitus sufferers who will find that citrus bioflavonoids do improve or "cure" their symptoms.

I have been getting these vitamins at Super Supplements for years. When I saw them on amamzon.com I could not believe what a great price they were, plus free shipping!
The first picture shown (with bioflavonoids) is accurate, then when I clicked on it to put it in my cart it said it was the vitamins with rose hips. I was a little concerned I might not get the correct ones but since the description said "with bioflavonoids" I took a chance and I did receive the correct item.

It's pretty hard to know exactly how well vitamins are working for you; they don't tend to produce noticeable effects that make it obvious that Brand A vitamins are better than Brand B vitamins. But I can tell you that I notice the difference in my overall energy levels and mental acuity when my normal routine gets disrupted and I fail to take my normal pills after breakfast (multivitamin + Nature's Way Vitamin C + fish oil). Of course, I can't isolate the effects of any particular one of these pills, but I feel slower and less vigorous when I don't take these vitamins.

Aside from that, there's the simple fact that these Vitamin C pills are competitively priced and also include bioflavonoids, which are powerful antioxidants that one can never have too much of. I recommend this product unhesitatingly.

I've taken these for a few months now, and the capsule form is easy to swallow and leaves no awkward taste in your mouth. During the winter I've successfully avoided getting any colds / sinus infections / flu, which is something that rarely happens for me. My daughter is even in daycare, so that's saying a lot! A great product and fantastic value, so I'd definitely buy these vitamins again.

I like the economy size bottle -- enough to last thru the winter. The pills are easy to swallow with no aftertaste.

Ascorbic acid is ascorbic acid, but I happen to be a fan of Nature’s Way products. I’ve been buying them for around 25 years. This vitamin C also has 600 mg of citrus bioflavonoids which help the body absorb the vitamin C. (I’ve read that citrus bioflavonoids have all kinds of good things going for them.) The capsules aren’t huge, not real small either, but they’re easy to swallow. (I can’t take tablets because I have difficulty swallowing them.) I bought them because they’re a great price too. I plan to keep buying this product.

So far I think this is the best value for good quality vitamin c - even over the powders. And you can open a capsule and put it in a water bottle if you want a more dispersed C delivery.
I have noticed no problem with acidity even when taking higher doses. I am going on my 4th order & I think I have finally found my favorite vitamin C - that's saying a lot since I research supplements like crazy!
