From the Manufacturer

Made from 100% natural rubber, from the tree Hevea Brasiliensi. Conform to Pacifier Safety requirements by European standard EN 1400 and CPSIA requirements. Made in Italy. Awarded the top rating by the German magazine Oko Test, the leading eco-testing periodical in Germany. No allergy-causing substances (the protein that on rare occasions can provoke a latex allergy is completely eliminated during production). No artificial coloring. No chemical softeners, Bisphenol-A, parabens, PVC, and phthalates free. Softer than silicone. Extremely hygienic because they are molded in one piece, with no joints or cracks where dirt and bacteria can accumulate. Larger shield than with conventional pacifiers, in order to prevent babies from squeezing enough to get into their mouths. Unlike conventional pacifiers, won't leave marks on baby's face. Because of their natural quality, should be replaced every 6 to 8 weeks.

Product Description

Natursutten is one of the best All Natural Rubber Pacifier in America. Having led the way with BPA-free pacifiers, Natursutten is the safest choice for your baby because it contains no BPA, phthalates, or PVC. It’s made of 100% natural rubber, from the tree Hevea Brasiliensis. And it features a patented, one-piece design, with no joints or cracks where bacteria can hide or accumulate. Natursutten is made in Italy by a family-run business that’s been making rubber baby-products for three generations. It takes about 30 days to make just one Natursutten pacifier because of the curing process for natural rubber, along with the fact that many steps are completed by hand. Natursutten means “natural pacifier” in Danish. Anne-Dorthe Shroeder, the Danish mom behind the brand, started her company when she couldn’t find a healthy option for her newborn son. “The media is full of stories about toxic baby gear, recalls and harmful plastics. As a new mother, I thought about how many hours my son was going to have a pacifier in his mouth, and I was determined to find a truly safe alternative. I felt I owed that to my child and other babies around the world – to do better.” How to care for your Natursutten pacifiers: • Sterilize in boiling water for 5 minutes before first use, wash with mild soap and warm water daily. • Just like toothbrushes pacifiers should be replaced every 6 to 8 weeks.

This nipple just seems too small for my baby to suck the same way she would as if she was breastfeeding.

After purchasing probably 30 or 40 pacifiers for my 2 month old son so his babysitter wouldn't go insane, we found the Gerber soft center rounded pacifier was all he would take - mind you this was the larger older version. Then Gerber mindlessly 'revamped' the soft center to what it is today. The customer service rep said that 'Gerber didn't think babies would notice the change' - well, he did. He sucked on the same two pacifiers until I found the Natursutten - a year later. Although they are exceedingly more expensive, I purchased five and retired the Gerber. My son barely noticed the change, even though the base is a little wider (the part where his lips meet together). Thanks again. I would recommend this to anyone in the same situation; just try one and see if your little one will take it, it's worth the ten bucks.

Love this binky for so many reasons. I hope to outline them here and dispel a few myths some people posted. I wish people wouldn't post something they don't know anything (or very little) about. First, these are perfectly safe for babies with a latex allergy. The reason? The process by which the binky is made removes the latex. Check it out yourself. As a mom of three boys with allergies I know how important it is. My youngest is five months and just a seizure like episode (we think do to allergies, all mine have allergies of some sort). It's nice to know even if it is a latex allergy his binky isn't contributing.

Secondly, if your binky gets a white reside it's because it's water logged. You've either boiled it too long or let it sit in water. You can't let these soak in a soapy water bowl like you would for your bottles. You can't put them in the dishwasher even on santize. You need to do this the old fashioned way. Bring water to a boil in a stainless steel pan. Set timer for two minutes on the stove, drop binky in, and start your timer. Two minutes are up set them on a clean dishtowel. This is what I do. This is what my mom showed me with my first. She also used binkies like this for my baby brother 12ish years ago.

My son LOVES these binkies. I finally have some peace. He's just a bit cranky in the mornings and evenings before his naps. This really contains him. And, I actually could take the older kids out by myself without a cranky baby!! I love these. Wish I would have found them with my first...these are the best binkies I've had. I've nursed all my boys and find this style to soothe better. While they all took them when they had to it saves me to have my youngest actually like to take a binky.

We have five children and we have used pacifiers for all of them (pacifiers at bedtime reduce incidents of SIDS). We've used every type, including the basic store bought Nuk or Gerber ones and the silicone ones like they use at hospitals. These are hands-down the best, for several reasons:

1) I'm not sure if it is the shape or what, but the babies seem to be able to keep these in their mouths better than any other type of pacifier. This is a big consideration, as pacifiers that are constantly being spit out are a pain.

2) They are BPA-free and all-natural. This has become more important to me the more I read about the dangers of BPA and other plastics.

3) The back of the pacifier is a handy ring that will stay on your finger, so that you aren't trying to juggle a crying baby and a pacifier at the same time.

4) No cracks to accumulate dirt.

5) They just seem to really LOVE these. Our four-month-old twins calm right down and sleep with these, and not with any other brand.

The only downsides are the expense (but they are totally worth it) and the fact that they are rubber, so they bounce and can bounce away (like under the pew three rows up at church)!

These are the only pacis my daughter will take. They were a lifesaver for a breast fed baby who wouldn't take any type/brand of paci we tried!

I love these in general and so does my son. But I had bought a pack of the 3-6 month size in January and then since then have tried twice to again make the same purchase, but apparently the product is now different. It is smaller than the previous order and now says "0-6" months instead of 3-6 months. I'm guessing they are phasing out the 3 month intervals but it is very frustrating because my baby is now used to the old 3-6 month size and I have wasted money on these and likely now have to give him the 6-12 month size which looks too large for him, but the new 0-6 month ones are too small. Argh! Beware if you are trying to reorder a 3-6 month size -- it seems to not exist anymore. I'm frustrated that the producers or amazon have not warned of this.

My little granddaughter used these from the start with no hesitation. At 6lbs 8ounces the small was perfect for her. We opted for the round and since she is a nursing baby we wanted to reduce nipple variations. I would recommend these, we were very attracted to the fact that there aren't any grooves were bacteria could live and grow. Also the fact that it is a natural product, rubber from a rubber tree.

I liked these well enough, except for The weird rubbery smell. My baby didn't like these very much, and only used them for about 2 weeks before I had to switch to a different kind of pacifier. They also really attract any dust/hair that's around. All in all they were okay, but I probably wouldn't use them for my next baby
