Ahhh memories!,

This review is from: Naughtiest Girl 1: Naughtiest Girl In The School (Kindle Edition)
I just re-read this book after first reading it when I was 10 or so. It has a beautiful atmosphere, and being set in a school (albeit a boarding school) kids can easily relate to this character. It's not as whimsical as other Blyton books, but I perhaps like it better for that reason. The character Elizabeth is a great role model for children - at heart she is good, she's only being naughty so she'll get to go home and be with her parents, which is not a bad sentiment for her to have. Another reason I like this book (and many in this genre) is that, in the end, everything works out well.

Sally,
This review is from: Naughtiest Girl in the School (Paperback)
My daughter, a somewhat relutctant reader, loved this book. She loves the character Elizabeth Allen and is working her way through the other books in the Naughtiest Girl series. My daughter also loved Beverly Cleary's Ramona series so I would recommend the Naughtiest Girl in School to all Ramona lovers.

This was a great look back at a different time and place. Loved the story but one aspect that disturbed me was how all the children at the school had to give up all their food gifts and money and put them in a pool for the good of all. Scary. However, I would glady recommend this book.
