The shoe does look good once you can figure out what to do with the extra long strap and quilted section. I kind of had to double wrap the strap tuck it in and let the quilted part overlap one another. I just think its a design flaw and it could have been much better. Otherwise, the shoe is comfortable enough and held up well during very long walks.

When I purchsed this shoe I thought I was getting a heck of a deal. It had a bit of a heel which was perfect for me. The straps across the front was a little stiff when I first got them but my feet had enough space to move around so i didn't feel any pressure. Unfortunately, the shoes did not hold up well the first time I wore them. There I was taking a nice stroll and two of the straps became unglued in the middle of town. Talk abouut embarassing. I literally had to superglue my shoes. The Naughty Monkey pulled a prank on me!!

i got these sandals a little over a week ago and have worn them almost everyday since! they are pretty comfortable as far as non-sneaker shoes go, but - like others have already posted - for me, the ankle strap is too long to permit a snug fit around the ankle, and the piece at the top of the foot/ankle does poke up a bit. i just think of it as room for air circulation and freedom of movement :)

they seem to run large and a little wide. i usually wear size 9 and have wide-ish feet; i ordered size 8.5 (because 9 was sold out). size 8.5 has the perfect length, and the straps across the toes are wide enough that i can move my feet comfortably.

the leather uppers are good, but mine were in serious need of some mink oil when they first arrived. after two treatments, they look perfect and the somewhat lightish brown has darkened to a more interesting chestnut.

i was looking for a flat but with a little bit of heel. this sandal has the heel and the color which i was looking for, but the fit is terrible. there is too much material in the center thus creates a hump, which is not too flattering. i didn't return it b/c i bought them cheap and it would cause me just as much with the shipping fees for returns.
