4.0 out of 5 stars Searching For Love
Breanna Parker is the daughter of a music mogul and a famous singer. Throughout most of her life, she never felt loved by the one person who mattered to her the most. She knew her father loved her, but he was always taking her mother's side when it came to her nonsense. She knew her brother loved her, but she didn't get the love she wanted from her mother and because...

1.0 out of 5 stars disappointed
I was very disappointed in this book. I have read many Of Rochelle Allers books and this one does not compare. The language alone was a turn off for me. I would not recommend purchasing this book if you are a fan of the Hideway series by Allers

Breanna Parker is the daughter of a music mogul and a famous singer. Throughout most of her life, she never felt loved by the one person who mattered to her the most. She knew her father loved her, but he was always taking her mother's side when it came to her nonsense. She knew her brother loved her, but she didn't get the love she wanted from her mother and because of this Breanna became a wild child partying and using drugs. When her naughty antics became too much for her parents to handle, she was sent abroad to school.

Breanna thought she found love in Tyrone Wyatt, an upcoming rapping sensation. Because she wanted to be loved by someone and knew he loved her, she accepted his true confession of love and his marriage proposal. However, a tragedy sent Breanna packing and she moved out of the country where she was able to heal and find true love.

NAUGHTY is a story of secrets, healing, self-discovery and romance. The plot is believable and the characters jump off the page. Breanna and her mother's characters touched me because I felt their pain. There were a few grammatical errors, but it didn't take away from the book. If you are a fan of Rochelle Alers's books, I recommend you read NAUGHTY.

2.0 out of 5 stars Looking for love, April 10, 2009
By
This review is from: Naughty (Paperback)
THIS IS ONE OF THOSE STORIES THAT A MOTHER NEGLECTS HER CHILD AND THE CHILD WANTS TO PLEASE HER AND SHE WANTS HER MOTHER TO LOVE HER. I JUST COULDN'T GET INTO THIS STORY . I READ IT TWICE AND IT TOOK ME LONGER TO READ THIS NOVEL THAN ANY OTHER ONE THAT I GOT BY THIS AUTHOR. I HAVE READ OTHERS BY HER AND THEY ARE EXCELLENT, BUT THIS ONE LEFT ME EMPTY. THE BEST PART OF THE BOOK WAS WHEN SHE MET RUEBEN AND EVEN THAT WAS SLOW.

This book was worth every penny I spent on it and some. I don't agree with the other reviews who thought the book was either poorly written or were offended by the language. The book is still written in the same context of Ms. Alers' other books but with a lot more sexual contents. I definitely embrace Ms. Alers and will continue to buy her books. I own every book she has ever written and will continue to support this strong, intelligent, african american author. If we do not continue our support of her books, guess what, we will know longer see them in print. So for those of you who were offended by the language in this book, please do not let this stop you from reading her books in the future. All of her books are well organized and have great plots that are not just about sex but full of promise and romance.

5.0 out of 5 stars Surprisingly outrageous, March 20, 2009

I've always enjoyed books written by Rochelle Alers so I knew this book would be the same. She has managed to take romance further then she normally does. Breanna Parker in this book went through so much in her short life that it brought the book threw the pages. You never see any one write about how easy it is for a young teen to live a full life while still living. Rochelle Alers captured the feelings perfectly. Naughty has allowed me to look at all novels I read very carefully making sure they leave me satisfied.

2.0 out of 5 stars Where is Ms. Alers?, March 3, 2009
This review is from: Naughty (Paperback)
I never thought that I would ever have to give Ms. Alers such a poor rating; this from a woman who's gifted mind inspired me to pick up reading novels after a 25 year hiatus. Disappointingis an understatement.

5.0 out of 5 stars Naughty = Chocolate and Good Wine, February 22, 2009
This review is from: Naughty (Paperback)
Oh! I finished this book in one long, rainy, cold day! LOVED IT!!! M. Alers hits the mark in a captivating story that has it all: Hollywood, sex, drama, drugs, money, power, mistakes, secrets and of course love.
Jackie Collins LOOK OUT! This book is the bomb of a great, hot story! I LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT!!! There is DEFINITELY room for a sequel! Excellent job Ms. Alers! An unforgetable story that really can be a television special!

I have read and re-read all of Rochelle Alers masterpieces, and I enjoy them whole-heartedly. I never want them to end. But, as with all good and great things "must come to an end" her storytelling must do the same. I highly recommend NAUGHTY. I loved all of the people on this book. I only wish of more pages on the long overdue happiness at the end. Ms. Alers is one of my favorite few writers. Her dedication to her skill and writing gift, makes for happy readers. I Look for to her next (and all) publications to come. She is BRILLIANT!

I loved this story. It's about Bree a young lady who has been without the love and attention of her Mother since she was a little girl and despite the fact that she is a grown woman, she still craves it. She does bad things to get her Mom's attention but only ends up hurting herself more in the process. Her Father adores her but to keep the peace at home, he doesn't step in to protect Bree from her Mother's harshness. Her brother always has loved her unconditionally and is in her corner no matter what she does. In the end Bree's brush with death brings the family closer and Bree finally feels the love that she has craved for most of her life.

4.0 out of 5 stars "Tonight I'll Be You're Naughty Girl", March 19, 2009
This review is from: Naughty (Paperback)
This was a good book but oh there were so many typos! In the beginning I thought Bree was the typical spoiled little rich girl but having parents like Langston and Karma, I felt sorry for her. Ryder is you is or is you aint..what's up? For a minute there I thought Tyrone was a good guy, I'm glad it only took 20 seconds to know he's not. The plot got kinda boring towards the middle of the book but when Bree moved to Rome and met Reuben it picked up again. I guess she had to fly across the international dateline to find love. Good read.
