This volume combines incisive state-of-the-art research regarding nausea and vomiting with articles summarizing current medical knowledge of clinical problems associated with these symptoms. Topics include the historical perspective on research on nausea and emesis, clinical assessments of current and proposed anti-emetic drug therapy, and motion sickness and space sickness. The book features over 30 tables and 6 figures to help simplify the information presented.

Nausea and Vomiting: Recent Research and Clinical Advances will interest all scientists who conduct research on how the brain and gastrointestinal system interact in the control of emesis. It will also contain valuable information for clinicians, researchers involved in anti-emetic drug development, and pharmaceutical companies.

1.0 out of 5 stars Useless research based on unimagnable suffering, July 26, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Nausea and Vomiting (Hardcover)
Dr. Miller has been targeted by the animal rights and welfare organization, In Defense of Animals, for the dubious value of his research and his cruel methods. IDA alleges that Dr. Miller's research is irrelevant to human health, wastes precious research funds, and yields little useful clinical data for a tragic amount of suffering and death. Judge for yourself if the value of this research is worth the terrible price paid and if research funding, particularly from public sources, is not better used elsewhere.
