I have 16 watches at this time. All others are Swiss Automatics. After reading all the reviews, I decided to try this Nautica (for the price, why not?) As everyone else says, it is a very heavy, large watch. I am a large guy so it is perfect for me. Even though this is my least expensive watch 'by far', I find myself wearing it quite a bit of the time. If you want a large watch that looks like it costs many times more, then you need one!! I am tempted to order another one just in case something 'unexpected' happens to this one and the model gets discontinued!!

I am 36 years old and have been collecting wrist watches since I was 8. This is by far my favorite!!! This watch is amazing!!!! I originally purchased the watch from Neman Marcus for $225.00. It was stolen 3 weeks later while I was playing basketball. I was heart broken!!! Then I looked it up on amazon.. and saved 38%!!! Its sporty and classy at the same time! I am constantly getting comments on it!! LOVE IT!!!! Nautica Men's N20503G NST Chronograph Bracelet Watch

Received this watch as a gift (because it was on my Amazon Wish List...) and I love it. Like other commenters have noted, it is an impressively big watch. The dimensional photo in the item description is a little off, as the actual vertical distance from the bottom of the lower case link to the top of the upper case link is approximately 60mm not 50mm. Also, the horizontal distance from the left edge of the case to the right edge of the crown is a shade > 50mm - about 53mm.

The bracelet out of the box is sized quite large - I would not want to mess with the guy who can wear this watch as-is. I had to remove a total of four links (two from each side of the clasp) and my wrist circumference is about 8 inches. It's not impossible to do yourself if you have the patience and are familiar with watch bracelet/clasp construction. I was able to remove the links and get the bracelet back together using a paperclip and needle nose pliers. I'm sure a jeweler could do it in half the time with the proper tools, but it was Easter Sunday I was anxious to get this watch on my wrist to show it off!

It's not difficult to set the time and date - although as the warning sticker that is placed on the watch notes, the crown has to be unscrewed prior to pulling out to the proper stop for setting the time and date. The chronograph dial at the 9:00 position is minutes. The dial at 3:00 is 24 hour time, and the dial at 6:00 is the watch's second hand. The large "second hand" on the main dial is for seconds when using the chronograph. When not using the chrono, it stays stationary at the 12:00 position.

Lastly, I had saved this watch in my Wish List because of its look with the nautical flags around the dial - not being a sea dog, I had no idea what the flags meant. Since I now own this watch, I thought I'd better be prepared for questions about their meaning. A Google search revealed these are marine alphabet flags, and they spell out "NAUTICA" from the 9:00 to 3:00 position, and "SPORT" from 8:00 to 4:00!

Nautica Men's N20503G NST Chronograph Bracelet Watch:
I like the watch, it's by far the heaviest watch I own,& I own quite a few. Biggest problem: braclet is WAY to big! I've shortened it according to the directions and it's still to loose. It's not that I'm small, I weigh 252 pnds., wear size 13w shoes, but the band on this watch is just so big. I can't imagine what a smaller male would do, other than return it or remove a 1/3 of the links.
It does keep very good time, not losing or gaining a second. Its design is very handsome that has already brought some positive comments, and its price point is hard to beat. Packaging was quite impressive, but for Nautica that's there business (image). As well, the design is exceptional and eye catching.

Great looking watch, slightly heavy and bigger than what I percieved looking at the pictures on amazon. But is a keeper. Only problem is that the band is big and need to be adjusted. Need to go to watch shop soon...

Very happy with this product. Have received lots of nice compliments about the watch, including one from the watch repair guy who shortened the links for me.

This is a WONDERFUL watch, and I am really bummed that I have to return it. But it is just too BIG.
The Amazon specs on it are somewhat erroneous, especially the thickness, which is really 14mm, not 10mm as printed.
FYI the actual case diameter of the round part is 49mm. At the crown horizontally it is 53mm. At the wrist vertically it is 57mm, which is just too big for my wrist of less than 60mm across.
Also, the Amazon specs state that the band material is "Sterling Silver", which we wouldn't want for such a watchband anyway. Of course, the band is stainless steel.
And it is HEAVY--7.5 ounces! Could probably count as part of your weight belt if you SCUBA!
I hope they make it in about a 42mm size soon, and 10mm thick--I will buy!

When I opened the box, I said "WOW". It's a real beauty, and has a definite masculine appeal.
The design is outstanding, and typifies the Nautica theme. It's large size, and hefty bracelet
links make it very noticeable: it's a "very showy" timepiece.

This Nautica is an absolutely beautiful watch. If you want to buy it, I can assure you that you will not regret this decision.

For a more detailed review, read on. My very first watch that I got in about seventh grade was a Nautica. I remember that it cost $55 at Macy's at the time. That very watch, I can tell you, is a testament to the incredible value that Nautica watches offer. In my snorkels and dives around the world, that watch has never failed me. Working my first job at a bird seed factory, lifting 50 pound bags of seed, that watch never failed me. Timing my workouts at the gym, that watch has never failed me. Hiking trails on remote islands, that watch has never failed me. It has been smothered in brine, sweat, sunscreen, bug spray, and dirt, never ceasing to give me accurate time. That poor old watch is starting to rust out and the black paint fades, but it still tells the time. Eight years ago, $55 bought that watch.

This Nautica, which my review should really be about, offers the same tried-and-true (at least for me) quality. I got it for just over $100, and it looks and feels much more expensive. This watch offers an incredible value and I never stop getting compliments whenever I wear it. Best of all, I know that it will last generations.

So please, buy this watch with confidence.
