An Awesome Treadmill with a couple of issues.,

I have been using this treadmill since Jan 03, 2010. It was delivered on a wood pallet and left in my driveway. It weighs around 220 lbs and you definitely need at least two if not three people to move this to whatever room you need to assemble it in. I'm 29 yrs old,6ft tall and 195lbs and I ordered this because I needed the treadmill to accommodate my stride at a full sprint and be able to support my weight. This treadmill has been able to do all of this with room to spare. This is a heavy duty treadmill and it provides a right amount of cushioning and dampens the impacts of running and my knees and ankles don't take to much of a beating after my sessions. There are a couple of issues though that I don't like about the treadmill. The treadmill makes an audible beep after every minute that you have been running. This is not a deal breaker but like many of you out there I try not to pay too much attention on the elapsed time and cover the display with a towel but that "beep" always lets me know that another minute just went by and it just annoys me that I can't turn that off. Also, there are only five buttons for the speed selection, 2,4,6,8,10. It goes up a liitle faster than 10 but those are the buttons that are on the main display. I like to do interval training and run from 6.5 mph to 11.5 back and forth. So I have to do a lot of button pressing to achieve this. There are to many increments that this machine goes off of.For example at the gym treadmills to go from the previous stated speeds, 6.5 to 11.5 and back, from 6.5 i would just be able to punch in 1-1-.-5-enter and I am running at 11.5mph. On this treadmill from 6.5 to 11.5 I have to press, 10,enter,and manually increase the speed by a tenth of a mile from 10mph,10.1,10.2,10.3,10.4,10.5,10.6,10.7,etc. until I get to 11.5mph. So this is pretty tedious especially when I have been doing a couple of rounds and I'm getting tired. I probably wouldn't have bought this treadmill if I had known about these two issues but the treadmill still gives me the ability to train on it aggressively and not have to worry that its going to break. Overall a good piece of gear.

We replaced our 15 yr. old NordicTrak with this Nautilus. I was having some tendonitis in my calves and Achilles on our NordicTrak that I contributed to old age (46yrs). I have not had any leg issues since I've used the Nautilus; I guess the cushioning of the NordicTrak was affecting me negatively. The Nautilus treadmill is extremely quiet so we don't have to turn up the stereo. It has incredible range for speed and incline unlike many others. This is an incredible machine for the price!

Got the treadmill a few weeks ago and love it! It was easy to assemble, heavy, but we didn't have any trouble. I use it for running and it is very solid. I like the fan because you can control the flow of air. It has many programs from which to choose. The ability to control the speed and incline from the handlebars is also a really nice feature. The only setback is that it is hard to move around.

I was looking for a treadmill and I was recommended nautilus by one of my friends. She has a exercise bike and I used it too and I found it very good.I am about 170 pounds and the motor is pretty smooth with good cushion. I run with flat sole shoes and there is enough grip and the cushion is also soft at the same time. Integrated heart rate feature is pretty good. Setting up the machine was really easy [the wheels came in handy] and also I really like the feature of setting up the treadmill vertically, just in case you need more space. The workout levels look almost the same as that in my gym [flat, incline, hill, jog etc.] and I dont use most of them and hence cannot comment on them. I do not know how power makes a difference and i refrain to comment on this as well. For power runners, my instructor recommends sport series. For regular workouts, this model is pretty effective and also cheap. [http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00275R2T8?ie=UTF8&tag=aisn-20&creativeASIN=B00275R2T8 ] Things I wish were better or included. 1. I prefer longer arm rests. I started with one that has long arm rests and I prefer that. 2. Bigger/depper racks/ holders. Just enough space to hold my ipod touch? [These two reasons should be addressed to make this a 5star product] 3. A cheaper price, I don't care much about the power, but lower price models are very hard to assemble and also occupies a lot of space. Over all, I am very much satisfied with this. And there is enough warranty as well.

Decent Treadmill,
This review is from: Nautilus T516 Treadmill (Sports)
I purchased my Nautilus T516 Treadmill back in mid-September.Use: Three miles in the morning and three in the evenings, six days a week. After using the treadmill for about one week it began making a really bad squeaking sound every time I took a step on it(similar to the squeaking sound a wooden staircase might make when used). The operation of the treadmill was never in question, it was just the terrible squeaking sound that was really upsetting me as this was a new treadmill. I contacted Nautilus and they suggested I lubricate the running board. After I explained to them that I had done that with silicon spray lubricant they then suggested that I replace the entire running board and rubber shock absorbers/dampers under the board or since I had just purchased it from Amazon, get a completely new replacement from Amazon. I decided to return the treadmill to Amazon and have it replaced by a new one. Amazon sent me a new treadmill within one week, great service from Amazon. After about 30 minutes of use, the treadmill began making the same squeaking sound that the returned T516 was making. I contacted Nautilus again and they sent me the replacement running board and rubber shock absorbers. I was pretty much left on my own to fix this issue, as I am a DIY kinda guy I went ahead with the repair (this was a difficult repair so if you are not a DIY kinda person without the right tools, then you are going to have a difficult time repairing this treadmill). To others this experience would've been enough to completely trash this treadmill in a review. Not really being a delicate person, I'm going to give this treadmill Four Stars. I've been giving it a pounding since I got it (fixed it ... lol) and it has been running great. Overall it is well built and very heavy (about 220lbs). The running board (having seen it on and off the machine) is very thick, thicker than the running boards of most other treadmills, so you know it is built to last. Overall it is a very good treadmill.

Easy to assemble - hardly anything to do.Very sturdy and can take a fast run. Fan has good velocity unlike other gym treadmill fans I've encountered. Really like the speed and incline toggles on the arms. Very convenient.

Fantastic machine. I did my research before purchasing, and I very much enjoy it.Pros: 1) Gym quality- well-made and sturdy. 2) Easy to fold up and take down. 3) Very easy to use program, and easy to read display. 4) Fan for cooling, so nice! 5) Controls for speed and incline on the handles as well as the main console-- now that I appreciate far more than I realized. 6) Storage for water bottles, iPods, remotes. Cons: 1) Beeps every time it surpasses one minute. Can be quite distracting if you do not have something to watch/listen to while working out. Then again, if you've been to a regular gym, then you know they blast music or expect you to bring your own music. So, I would recommend doing the same so you don't focus on the beeps- helps you get through your work out faster. 2) It contains a piece of long, gray plastic that is unaccounted for in the instructions. It took me a minute or two to figure out, but it is for the back of the machine (walk board) where you would lift it to fold up. Now mind you, that piece is really not needed-- reason being is that if you decide to put that piece on, you will have a much louder experience walking/running. I much prefer it without the piece attached-- and I definitely recommend it as well. In conclusion: extra piece isn't vital to the machine whatsoever. 3) Very, very heavy. Do not try to lift or drag on your own. And when it's being delivered, have the room ready for wherever it's going. You don't want them just dropping it off in a garage or on the driveway for you. 4) All screws are included. However, the manual fails to mention that some are in the plastic bag with the tools, and some are actually already in the machine to be taken out and put back with parts attached. Big heads up on that. Summary: Fantastic machine, extremely easy to use. Tad bit rocky at the assembly stage, but all in all, extremely thrilled with the purchase. Looking forward to a healthier me this year. :) ~Christina of Chris²

I am very satisfied with my purchase. The only complaint is that when I walk and hold on to the front handles, my feet hit the front of the treadmill. And when walking on a incline, how can you not hold on to the front handles? My solution was to get a scarf and pull it through the handles and hold on to that while walking. I don't mind it, so therefore it is only a minor complaint. But Nautilus should not put the handles directly above the front of the treamill in the future. Otherwise, it has been wonderful. It is rather quiet and does not distub my husband when he is in the same room. The fan is really surprisingly strong and I love it. I am able to run full speed and it seems very sturdy. It does beep every minute that goes by when you have it on the manual setting. But I listen to music or tv the whole time so it doesn't bother me and I can tune it out. I would recommend this product to a friend. Oh ya, one more thing, it is VERY heavy and took 4 people to move it up our stairs!

I have always been a walker, till recent events in life have arised to prevent me from doing so freely. It has been a decade, (due to coyotes become abundant in local area, roads become more active, and knee injury)..that i have freely walked. I knew i needed to take a active step in this lack in my life,(Even if inside the house!) so chose carefully a instrument to help me achieve this step back to walking. I found this product, received it and am so delighted! Yes it is heavy, but is easily manuevered with a bit of umphh lol around. Easy to assemble with brothers help =) 2 minds do make it easier.. I love the way the treadmill itself easily lifts up, and lowers.. the tilting of treadmills path as i walk, the speed i can easily up or down on handle is awesome! I love the fan for cooling of one =) and the key if i should fall , for quick shut off took care of any fears in me, that if i should fall, i wont go flying backwards on belt! =) for someone in her mid 40s, this was a plus for me. I have recommended this product to others.. and would buy it again!!
