This is very solid piece of equipment. It is at or very near the sturdiness of the stuff I have used at the gym. Very good for the back, glutes, abs, and hamstrings. You need to already be familiar with the use of this equipment as there are no usage instructions.

I thought it would take up more space than it does, but since you can put the back base (where the wheels are) right against a wall, it's not too bad.

It was relatively easy to put together. All I needed was an adjustable wrench (two hex wrenches were supplied). Note that you will have to apply a fair amount of pressure when tightening the nuts. At first I thought the bolts they shipped me were too long.

I am VERY happy with this purchase. I think it's a steal at this price (the free shipping was nice).

I've had this chair since 2004 and do morning back-ups 5 days a week since. It was easy to assemble and has proven to be super sturdy throughout my 240~220 lb weight ranges. Before using a roman chair I often had to visit a chiropractor a few times a year for lower back pain, buldging disc, etc. Since using it I haven't had to return since. Ensuring your shoes have balanced soles is also important to back health but I can thank stronger lower back muscles for making my body more forgiving of other stresses. It's also a very nice looking piece of equipment. I highly recommend it for form and function.
