It is the notes and careful scholarship which makes this book stand out. Great care is taken to consider all view points. As part of a series, it is both a good introduction to Navarre Bible and a reason to make this part of a serious bible student's collection. It is also easy to read. Complex arguments are avoided so the plain message can be clearly understood by those who love to read the bible.

The Navarre series are absolutely a must for anyone wanting to gain a better understanding of the Gospels and other parts of the Bible. It breaks down each passage and provides the Latin text as well. Although the average reader may not understand Latin its inclusion makes it very interesting and educational as well. Excellent reference for Biblical study.
