This review is from: Navigation for the Internet and Other Digital Media (E-Design) (Paperback)
While this book is a bit older, it still contains some fantastic advice and ideas for today's web designer. Some of the navigation examples are far superior and more "usable" then a lot of the "Bells and Whistles without reason" approach I see on websites today. This is a great read and study on usability, designing "Usable and Intuitive" navigation elements and advanced navigation techniques. This is for programmers and designers alike who want to explore, learn and expand their thoughts and philosophies about design and development.
This IS NOT a programmer's guide nor does it teach you how to develop these interface elements so don't expect that. It IS a visual piece of eye candy to stimulate your brain into thinking the way I think... Design without Limitations! Is that possible on the web? Yes it is! A great man once said "Knowledge is Power"... think it! learn it! do it! |
