Product Description
Blitzkrieg intelligent college rock, that combines smart lyrics with ambient, Radiohead-REM-Pavement-Built To Spill infused hooks. ----------- 1 Diva 2 Call Me 3 Oregon Country 4 Aphrodesiac 5 How to be a Foreign Journalist 6 Your Christian Name 7 Silent Sentiment 8 My Life Since Waterloo 9 Your Bail Bondsman 10 Saphire -------------------- Since 1999, The sounds of Davis Bellstar has been earning positive music press in a variety of terms. One music critic said simply, "You just can't help but be excited about Bellstar." Combing influences that range from Radiohead, Wilco, Weezer, Beck, Built to Spill and vintage REM; Bellstar fuses a sound that explores sonic edges, without betraying a dedication to the palpable sanctimony of pop rock. Things have moved quickly for this quartet. Formed in 1999, the band was soon opening for some of the regions biggest acts, and some noteworthy MTV darlings. They've shared stages with Alien Ant Farm, The Damnations, The Brodys, Forever Goldrush, Grub Dog and the Amazing Sweetheards, and Go National, to name a few. They've worked hard to become a regional act, playing gigs from Tahoe, Reno, Chico, to San Francisco, Oakland, Stockton and Southern California. In 2000, their song "Diva" was featured in a nationally distributed landboarding documentary.
