One music critic said simply, "You just can't help but be excited about Bellstar." Combing influences that range from Radiohead, Wilco, Weezer, Beck, Built to Spill and vintage REM; Bellstar fuses a sound that explores sonic edges, without betraying a dedication to the palpable sanctimony of pop rock. Things have moved quickly for this quartet. Formed in 1999, the band was soon opening for some of the regions biggest acts, and some noteworthy MTV darlings.
