Great Book!!!,
By Roger Brady (San Jose, CA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Navigator Bible Studies Handbook (Paperback)
For the individual that desires to really have God lead him/her, aware of the value of independently exploring God's word. If you are totally content with merely going along with what others tell you about the Bible, then this book has little value for you. But, if you are aware that even the best intentioned Bible "studies" will have subtle influences, leading you unaware down their own roads of thought, then this book is for you.In the index there is a really fantastic list of suggested reference materials. These are the tools one needs while pursuing a methodical, systematic study.

Great Bible Study Tool Kit,

This review is from: The Navigator Bible Studies Handbook (Paperback)
This is the standard Navigator's book on how to study the Bible. The book contains several methods that encourage a great blend of scholarly study and the ancient art of lectio divina. The value of the Bible lies on the way this book shapes and forms our thinking and our believing. The methods explained here help bring the teaching of the Bible from the pages and Ancient history to our hearts and our contemporary lives. A great help for people that are new disciples of Jesus or that are interested in studying the text with integrity. Buy - but especially USE - this book.
