THE 12 VOLT CIGARETTE LIGHTER ADAPTER PITCHED BY RADIO SHACK AND AMAZON LOOKS JUST LIKE THE ADAPTER I PICKED UP AT BIG LOTS FOR $3! I WANTED & NEEDED THIS ADAPTER, JUST COULDN'T SEE WHERE IT WAS WORTH 20 BUCKS.

After reading all the opinions, I just went to ebay and bought it for $6.45 with free shipping. Be here in 3-5 business days. Usually Amazon is better on cost and selection than eBay but some things do slip through.

The charger is fine but I wouldn't have purchased it if I had done my homework and realized that the GPS came with a charger already.

This is your basic, no frills, home wall charger for use with any Navigon GPS unit. It allows you to charge your Navigon GPS unit's battery in your own home by inserting the receptacle end of the car charger cord into the wall charger and the other into the GPS. The GPS has an indicator light on it to let you know when it's fully charged.

Without this home unit the only way to charge your GPS battery is to do it from your car. (possibly wasting time and gas if you weren't planning to go somewhere)

Conclusion: It worked as expected. 5 Stars

This comes in handy all the time. This way I don't worry about plugging it into the cigarette lighter which is good because the wire will not reach the unit where I had to put it on my windshield.

I had a nice sleek battery charger that came with my camera. Lost it.
Bought this thick giant of a wall plug that has many attachments to make it work with many types of batteries.

This thing twice as big as the original, but it works fine and if I ever get other batteries I can charge them too.

I was totally satisfied with the seller. I had problems with the charger. When I went to the seller and explained, a new one was sent out without hesitation.

So, what's "to review?" You buy it (for very few bucks), you plug it in, it WORKS! That's a heck-of-a-lot more than I can say for some folks at the office! (Good product). REE

You never know how much actual battery charge time you have till you run out i.e. too late.

So it's really an important item to have for indoor use such as downloading.

This is a must needed item for your GPS. You can't leave it charging in the car. It will disappear.
