Navionics not recommended,

This review is from: Navionics Hotmaps Premium Lake Maps - East (on SD/MicroSD Card) (Sports)
I first checked out my local lake on the Navionics Hotmaps Explorer DVD. The map was great, so I bought the more expensive version, the Premium Lakemaps on SD. The lake map on the SD chip was total garbage compared to the earlier version. Buyer beware, don't buy unless you check out your lake first. Of course your lake may not be as big of a disappointment as mine, but it is a gamble. Their service department was not much help. They replied: "Thank you for contacing Navionics. Between the release of the HotMaps Explorer DVD in 2008 and the present, there were changes in source mapping for some of our lakes. Map sourcing changes occur for a number or reasons and this happened to be one of the lakes affected by this sourcing changes. The charting information on this lake is now taken from a different map with different information. The charting information you have on your chart cartridge is the current information we have available for this lake. If you need additional information, please do not hesitate to ask."

It does a respectable job of helping to find my way around. There is good detail and it integrates well with my GPS/fish finder.
