Acai (ah-sigh-ee) is a small, dark purple berry that grows on a species of palm tree that thrives throughout tropical regions of South America. To create Navitas Naturals Acai Powder, organic acai berries are sustainably harvested in the Amazon rainforest, freeze-dried, and then milled into a dark purple powder that retains the vital nutrients and flavor of the fresh fruit. Acai is very low in sugar, but it’s not low in flavor. It has a bold tropical fruit taste that is a hybrid of blackberries, raspberries, and dark chocolate. Acai powder is an ideal addition to yogurt, smoothies, chocolate, drinks, and desserts.
Omega Fatty Acids, Polyphenols, and Fiber
The deep purple hue of Navitas Naturals Acai Powder indicates that it is an abundant source of polyphenols and flavonoids. Specific antioxidants found in acai include resveratrol, cyanidin-3-galactoside, ferulic acid, delphinidin, epicatechin, protocatechuic acid, and ellagic acid. Acai also provides exceptional amounts of omega fats, protein, and fiber. The nutrient-dense superfruit also contains a vast array of vitamins and minerals including B-vitamins, vitamin K, potassium, and manganese.
Freeze-Dried, Organic, Gluten-Free, Non-GMO, and Kosher
Navitas Naturals Acai Powder is made from hand-harvested acai berries that have been freeze-dried and low-temperature milled to retain all the nutritional benefits and flavor. Throughout the dense rainforest of the Brazilian Amazon, 25-foot tall palm trees (of the Euterpe genus) grow along the tropical floodplains. The trees are routinely climbed by the indigenous Caboclo people who rely on the nutritious acai berry for both culinary and medicinal uses. Product of Brazil, packed in the USA.

Culinary Suggestions for Acai Powder
Navitas Naturals Acai Powder blends perfectly into smoothies, shakes, yogurt, desserts, and more. It has a rich tropical fruit flavor that's somewhere between blackberries and chocolate, and its abundant omega fatty acid content gives it a unique creamy texture. A popular recipe in Brazil is the ‘acai bowl,’ which is frozen or fresh acai fruit blended with other fruits, nuts, and granola.
Acai Soft Serve — Brazilian Inspired Gelato
Place a cup of the bananas into a food processor fitted with the “S” blade, and add the acai, maple syrup, and vanilla. Begin blending, and slowly add the remaining banana chunks while the machine is running. Process for about a minute, until frosty and smooth and turn off machine. Do not over-process or the bananas will become overly melted. Transfer to a serving container and enjoy at once, or cover and place in freezer until ready to serve. Gelato’s texture is best when consumed right away. Yield is 4 servings.

Otherwise, I just seem to be generally healthier since I started using it. Less colds, etc. Obviously, this is just my experience, but snarky responses suggesting I am imaginging these effects are insulting. Am I "imaginging" it when I feel like crap? Anyway, this stuff works for me.
As to the other negative reviews:
1. I have no idea why anyone would think that this stuff is supposed to taste great. It's not candy, for pete's sake. Grow up.
2. Sambazon products are ok, but the frozen acai is totally over-priced IMHO, and I've had their canned beverage and it's awful (and for the record, acai is not even the main ingredient)
3. I have kept these in the cupboard (not the fridge) and have never had any issues
4. I have no idea what "Oprah said" (thank you, God) but I have no idea how an anti-oxidant rich fruit is supposed to make you lose weight
That is all.
Is this a label they accidently put on both 4oz and 8oz bags, or is it fraud? I guess truth in advertising and packaging is not part of an organic diet. I've discussed this with my local Sprouts. Is Navitas going to stand up and make this right? I can guarantee I'm returning the Maca and Golden berries I also purchased. I'm also posting their slight of hand on other sites until Navitas contacts me, and never purchasing another Navitas product, until they do. Buyer beware!

very good product and tastes great. we use it in smoothies or acai bowls, you have to use a decent amount in order to receive any benefits from the berry but highly recommend itPublished 28 days ago by Giselle Ghofrani
I really liked the one I bought from a grocery store. So, I ordered this one and it was wet/moist. I don't know why....but I do know it shouldn't be like that.Published 2 months ago by Joyce L.
Smells horrible! I have been using it anyway but I am sure it is going bad, but it smelled like that from the day I opened it. I will try the ACAI powder from another vendor. Read morePublished 2 months ago by Marie Tara
I bought this to replace my liquid acai. It is this amazingly deep eggplant color so be very careful when using it because it does stain. There was no flavor or scent. Read morePublished 3 months ago by Misty Weaver
