Navtec's Rig-Rap is a self-bonding waterproof tape useful in preventing sails and lines from chafing against turnbuckles, cotter pins, spreaders and chain plates. It stretches to twice its length, conforming neatly to any turnbuckle or spreader tip fitting. Rig-rap holds very well, but sticks only to itself, leaving no gooey residue when removed. It does not deteriorate in sunlight or salt water. Navtec's Rig rap offers the best value per foot of any anti-chafe rigging tape on the market.

I had used this tape on my sailboat several years ago to provide chafe protection for the lines and sails. Recently, I needed a strong tape that would wrap around a small fitting and adhere to itself like this tape does. No loose end waving in the air, even after years of abuse. Luckely, I found this thru Amazon instead of having to drive across town to purchase. It still works just as good as I remember from ten years ago; no sticky tape residue when removed. It makes my life happier now.
I would have given 5 stars except that it is fairly expensive.
