Editorial Reviews

From Booklist

The authors have written From Army Green to Corporate Gray, a similar guide targeting army personnel and soon-to-be army veterans--quite similar, in fact. Krannich is author of a number of job-hunting guides and both Navy Blue and Army Green rely heavily on material adapted from his Careering and Re-Careering for the 1990s. Savino is a retired army major now doing technical consulting for Booz, Allen & Hamilton. This and their earlier book are virtually identical because so much of their advice applies to all military personnel. In this second book, specific resources are substituted for U.S. Navy, Marine Corps, or Coast Guard members or veterans wherever there are differences from the U.S. Army version. The authors have chosen to target their audiences specifically; libraries at military installations and public libraries in communities with nearby military bases should definitely acquire one or the other of these excellent guides depending on the branch of service involved. 5.0 out of 5 stars Can't lose with Krannich, August 10, 2000
This review is from: From Navy Blue to Corporate Gray: A Career Transition Guide for Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard Personnel (Paperback)
Ron Krannich & Co. have put out a long series of helpful career books---this one is targeted to military types who want (or need) to re-enter the civilian workforce. Cogent, to the point with lots of helpful examples of turning "militarese" into a language of skills needed by most employers.

1.0 out of 5 stars From Navy Blue To Corp. Grey : A Career Transition Guide for, July 16, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: From Navy Blue to Corporate Gray: A Career Transition Guide for Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard Personnel (Paperback)
When looking at the title of this book I was disappointed to see that it appears to be directed towards American Ex-military only.

As I am an Ex-Royal Australian Naval Person, I am not sure that it applies to Aussie ex-servicemen and women. This I would be interested to understand why? I'm sure it took considerable time and effort for the author to compile, organise, categorate data - then to write this book. I only wish that it applied to myself but to other Ex-Australian service personnel.
