The first review is right on - with one exception. One cannot reasonably expect the military to give raw, first-person footage of a clandestine special operation. It seems the previous reviewer expected something in that area (how, i don't know). I am a US Army infantry soldier serving overseas. During the time at which i watched this on DVD, however, i was the stereotypical college male age 21. The video fulfilled all of my desires and expectations..it was exciting, reasonably accurate to military operation, showcased the use of some interesting and/or special equipment etc. Having said this after actually experiencing life in the military and military training (though by no means SEAL training), i give it 5 stars. I wrote this review for one reason: so nobody would be fooled by a 3 star rating. So long as the viewer doesn't expect a helmet cam, he or she will not be disappointed. As a matter of fact, after writing this review i'm going to have to get this shipped over to Iraq to watch it again.

Note that there are only 3 episodes on this DVD. I thought there were five but that's my fault. My teenage grandsons eat this stuff up and just LOVE these stories.

real good facts. Story lime rolls along with great footage.
If your looking for a Navy Seal action don't be afaid too order
this one, I myself am look for more of these series. Some Movies are
cheap and not worth watching! I liked this movie & will watch it over again,
Safe too say: Money well spent, for a movie.

This move is... ok at best. The information given in it is nothing new, and the same that is in every book anyone buying this movie has ever read. Horrible acting and graphics, not that this is much of a deal in most SEAL movies but due to the lack of interesting information it begins to add up. Also, no actual US Navy SEALs are in this movie (or even helped make it, at least it seems that way).

The miniseries supposedly originally aired on the Learning Channel. It has three 47-minute dramatic reenactment (i.e., staged by producers and played by actors) of three previously classified Navy SEAL engagements: Grenada (1983), Somalia (1991) and Panama (1989). These are engaging stories (no pun intended), and the production value is pretty good, but it's still a bit unsatisfactory to know all three episodes are not real footage of the real thing.

I have 2 kids, both boys, ages 8 and 12. Both are fans of anything that has to do with war - battleships, battle gears, strategy and of course - engaging war movies. With movies, I veer them away from gory depictions and steer them closer to either well made commercial movies OR those shown in discovery or history channels.

They are fascinated with navy seals so this was an easy pick. But boy, this is a really boring pick. The film is clearly low budget production, it's pitiful. Disappointing.
