Lindy Kyle has retreated to Seattle to lick her wounds. After being dumped by her financee, Lindy knew that it was time to strike out on her own. At twenty-two, she has known only one heartbreak, and thought it would break her. That all changed when she met Rush Callaghan, her brother's roommate.

Rush loved the Navy more than anything. After being burned by the woman he loved, he gave everything in him to the Navy. He felt broadsided by Lindy, who was ten years younger than him and light years more naive. Even if she didn't realize that she couldn't be a Navy wife, he did. That still didn't stop him from claiming her as his own, though.

Navy Wife was an incredibly sappy romance. Rush and Lindy fell in love within the first hundred pages. Lindy embraced her feelings for Rush, while he denied them. She was a little immature for my taste, as I don't see how a twenty-two year old like her could hang on to an older more mature man. It was a very predicatable book, with Lindy finally growing up and realizing that if Rush gave up the Navy he wouldn't be the man she fell in love with. I gave it four stars because the emotion was intense enough to hook me.

I did enjoyed this book it was so good, I loved Rush I can picture him as a Navy man even though there was an age difference I didn't see it, you could tell the love that they had for each other. Lindy had to find out for herself if she had what it took to be a Navy Wife. I can't wait to read Navy Blue great read :)

Navy Wife was one of the best books I have ever read. I think the reason I liked it so much was because the subject interested me. The book was filled with many twists and turns. Just when I thought I had the rest of the book figured out, everything would change. The ending was good also. Some books leave you hanging, wondering what will happen next, but this book left you with a good understanding of what happened to all the characters. It had a little bit of every emotion. One minute serious, the next funny. I loved this book and would recommend it to anyone to read.

Even though I could figure out how the book was going to end, I have to admit I wanted to finish it. Overall, it was a quick read, you could feel the sexual tension, and Rush needs to be cloned. He sounded to good to be true. This is a feel good book, and I look forward to Navy Baby and the rest of the "Navy" series. My favorite of Debbie Macombers continues to be the Alaska Trio and the Promise Series.

Yikes. How did this ever get published? The story line was pitiful and the writing equally bad. As a Navy Wife, I hope there aren't too many readers out there thinking this relates to our lives in ANY way. I rate this 0 stars.

Debbie Macomber once again has given us a book that is totally her. She has a way with characters that is upbeat, romantic, and three dimensional. Rush and Lindy are two people coming from bad relationships who take a chance on each other. Debbi adds her own twist to the story by throwing in the problems of living life the Navy way. It's a fun story, and a good read.

This book was in real good conditon... I was happy with it especially with the price of the book. Thanks

This is the first of the "Navy" books I have read and am looking forward to the rest of them. As usual, the author has taken me to places I have never been and seen people I wold never meet. A great read!

This novel by Debbie was so great. I can relate to the situations in this story line. My friend is in the navy and I connected with it on a personal level. I can't wait until the rest of her Navy series comes out.

this book was soooo sappy and boring. The characters had no personality. They were just too tormented to live. I put them out of my misery by putting the book down. Love other books by Debbie, this one just didn't make the grade though.
