The series "Classics of the Brazilian Choro - You are the soloist!" enables you to discover the
Choro style through the incomparable experience of performing the compositions yourself,
accompanied by a Choro Ensemble. Each volume from the series brings a famous composer
from this amazing music style, with their main compositions in audio and scores, biographies,
interviews and relevance to the history of Choro, as well as two CDs.
Utilizing CD number 1, listen to the complete tracks (with the soloist) for your reference. Tune
your instrument (flute, sax, clarinet or mandolin) utilizing the tuning notes. Now be the
soloist, utilizing the accompaniment tracks.
CD number 2 contains the same solo tracks present on the first CD, but for each song with the
soloist, we generated two tracks: one without the cavaquinho (the Brazilian Ukulele) and
another without the guitar, so the musicians playing these instruments or the mandolin can
also practice.
Now you can play along with your own "Choro ensemble" whether you are at home, on the
road, or at the beach.

Fun music,

I am not usually a fan of play-a-long CD's, but this music really works. You get the choice of playing along with a professional Choro player or with the fun, kicking accompaniment by yourself. The nice thing is these are real musicians who don't necessarily play just what is written, especially on the repeats, so you get the feel of playing something real. The book is nicely printed and is spiral bound so the pages lay flat. This is not for beginners, but if you are a pretty good intermediate player and can play the full range of your instrument, you can get around on these pieces.
