Approach with extreme caution!,

This review is from: Nazz Lives! (Audio CD)
Made in USA in 2009, Serial# COL-CD-1397, Playing Time 43:00
Let me start by saying that I first started listening to the NAZZ after becoming of fan of Todd Rundgren; it was his general creativity that made me go back to his earlier works, particularly as it involved the NAZZ. Unfortunately, Todd is NOWHERE to be found on this CD, even if it features some of his compositions. 3 out of the 10 tracks found here were released on the 2008 Japanese pressing of the "13th And Pine" CD; the rest are either new recordings by Robert Antoni (aka Stewkey) on vocals and Otto Capabianco (all other instruments), which are pretty dreadful ("Talk To The Duck" is a prefect example), plus 2 live tracks ("Under The Ice" and "Open My Eyes") adding Larry Fisher on bass and Ray Cardona on drums (but still no sign of Todd) which are somewhat average. This release no doubt capitalizes on the fact that Todd Rundgren was once part of this band; if you have to put your hands on anything featuring Stewkey, I guess you need to grab this; otherwise, I suggest you let this one pass...

Nazz DOES live!,

This review is from: Nazz Lives! (Audio CD)
I enjoyed this album. I never thought for a minute that Todd was on the album.Credits make perfectly clear who does what.
8 solid studio tracks and two great live tracks( "Open My Eyes" & "Under The Ice") Certainly priced right( I mean..how can you go wrong @ $ 7.99?) Baby Godzilla is a KILLER track..should be in a movie! Original singer Stewkey and his musicians ( mostly Otto Capabianco) do a fine job. If you collect Nazz , you'll want to fine coda to the band's history.
