Perfecting the blanks is my only issue. Blanks seem to be an odd item to calculate on distance. But dude, when you get it right... It feels like when you hit the best tee shot of your life. The other golfers seem to be curious and some run the other way when I pull the gun out of my golf bag but they (the ones who finish out the round) seem to enjoy it. On a positive note, it keeps the group ahead of us moving along fairly quickly.

I thought that this would be a neat novelty toy, but it definitely is not. This thing rocks! I was expecting the ball to go maybe three hundred yards at best. I fired it at a 45 degree angle, and lost it in the clouds. I would imagine that it went up 1200 feet, and stayed in the air at least eight seconds. If I had a way to shut off the gas system, I'm sure it would go higher.
The only complaint that I have is that it would not thread onto the rifle out of the box. I am a gunsmith, and had the necessary tap needed to clean up the threads, but if you didn't it could possibly damage your threads. It is built like a tank though, and everyone is flabbergasted when they see how high the ball goes.
Over my chronograph (measures speed of projectiles) a ball came in at 233 feet per second.

Picked this up on a whim. Couldn't stop playing with it. Fit just fine on a Bushmaster. Biggest problem is that now that I'm no longer in the military, I don't have an unlimited supply of blanks. Didn't like blanks when I was in because of the time it took to clean the rifle. Wish I had them now. At a 45 degree angle, the golf ball had no problem going 300 yards. I bought a Rossi combination just to have a gunsmith thread the barrel (1/2-28) so it would fit the golf ball launcher. #4 .22 blank for concrete nails from Lowes pitches the golf ball out to about a hundred yards. Golf ball launcher works with the practice plastic golf balls if you us a piece of paper towel for wadding. Everybody that has used it wants one. Haven't seen a smile on my 12 year old like that in a long time.

Not much to say, except that this is the coolest accessory that I have bought for my AR15. It's also fun just to carry into a sporting goods store and see the people starting at you as your trying out the different golf ball sizes to make sure that they will fit in the launcher. I just wish that Amazon would sell the bigger "pop can" launcher. Those are fun to use as well.

This AR15 Golf Ball Launcher is just plain fun! It is a very beefy piece of hardware that adds a great deal of weight to the end of the AR15, but it does inspire confidence that it is up to the task. I wasn't sure how well this would work so went to check it out on YouTube where there are plenty of videos.

Mine came very dirty, with a lot of caked on white powder that I assume was leftover from the manufacturing process. The threads were also dirty and required cleaning with a needle point before being installed on flashhider threads. Once installed, this was very secure and didn't move while in use. This must be used with blanks, which are very easy to find with a quick search.

Step #8 of the instructions sums this up the best: "Giggle your a** off, because it is so fun."
