this is one of the best made muzzle breaks for sks out there. heavy guage steel, secure fit. not only does what is designed for but also helps with balancing some weight issues. this product is very well made and easily installed.

This is a nice add on for your SKS. It dresses up the looks a little, and improves accuracy by reducing muzzle jump. Well worth the modest price. My only quibble is that it has loosened up a couple of times. As the barrel heats up during firing, the set screw that hold the muzzle brake in place can loosen up. Make it nice and tight, and check it from time to time.

I have an older version of this on my other SKS and i wanted one for annother one i bought it looks great but it is going to take some fitting as the barrel on my newer SKS has a bigger OD but it will work fine i would recomend this to any one as it is a crap shoot as to weather it will fit on a com bloc weapon but i would say that it will fit more than it won't i hope this helps

The one I received fit too loose to be used on 2 different SKSs (Paratrooper Norinco and Tula Russian). The single set screw is the only thing that secures the entire muzzlebrake to the firearm.

A quick run of a cleaning jag or peak down the muzzle shows that a bullet strike is possible with a loose set screw. The "twist on" feature is cut several degrees past where it should stop for correct positioning with the gas vents and cleaning rod notch, and does not appear to add much in securing the brake. On both rifles the fit is about .015" oversized at the barrel and about .030" oversized at the front sight.

2 stars because I may spend the time to make it work it does look good.

This item is not machined properly for fit on all 3 of my SKS's. Came loose or fell off after a few rounds even using Lock Tight. Sent them back. Of course in addition, you have to make choice of functioning bayonet or the Brake. Can't have both.

Any other suggestions or success stories on a different brand?

after 100+ rounds no movement in it, just be sure to locktight the set screw and check it often. works great and would suggest it to others

Not a bad item, especially for the price. Works to control recoil, but even better is it makes the rifle a tad more muzzle heavy and changes the point of balance to better accomodate offhand shooting.

Good piece of hardware for the money. I plan to adapt the 2 I purchased to a couple of my pellet guns. Already had one for my SKS - fits perfect!

I have a norinco SKS and this fit pretty well on the barrel and seems to hold tight with the single set screw (we'll see if it holds on after some shooting). The cuts are made so it will fit pretty much any sks and does look pretty good on the rifle.

i got this for my norinco sks and it fits on nicely. its snug against the end of the barrel and it looks pretty sweet. one thing a little off is that when you twist it all the way against the front sight, the cut out circles in the brake are slightly off center. its probably not going to make any problems when i get to fire it though. id give it five stars if there is a noticable difference with the kick when i get to fire it. overall, solid product and very cheap
