With all the bad reviews my standards were pretty low for this item, but now that it is in my possession i honestly don't get the bad reviews at all! This crossbow is very powerful. Everything about this is perfect! Listen to me, if you are taking this crossbow for consideration, Get it! Everyone who wrote a bad review probably didn't assemble it write, it does now come with instructions so I just looked up a video on how to assemble it. So if I were you I would do the same. This crossbow is just incredible. Amazing. Get it. I guarantee you that you will not be disappointed. It comes with more than enough accessories. The fishing lines or what ever don't fit, so if you're planning on going fishing or what ever i suggest you buy some that will go with this item. And for those wondering about the video or anyone struggling to assemble it here is the video I used so i really recommend watching it. And bottom line, if you are looking into getting a nice well priced crossbow this is the one! And I've seen no sign of the crossbow breaking at all. Here's the link for the video v

i bought this little crossbow just for fun, and maybe to teach the nieces and nephew about shooting and safe weapons handling when they are ready.

before the first time that i shot the thing i noticed that the rear open site was cheaply made, after a few shots i gave up on the idea of using open sites due to the fact that every shot would change zero. so if you get it just remove the rear site and go all scope. it did preform fairly well once i got the little 4x20 air gun scope zeroed.

when i got done shooting it for the first time i dissembled it for storage in its original box
leaving the scope on it in hopes of not having to re-zero it, alas it was a moot point, as when i took it out of the box two weeks later the prod (bow part) had a crack right down the middle and would not be terably safe to atempt to shoot.
i'll try to track down a new prod if the price is right.

another minor gripe. on the right hand side there is inlayed a small what i would call a "that-a-way" compass. these uesualy have a small amount of liquid inside, however this one was dry, and pointed no where near north. they arnt realy good for navigation at the best of times and in this instance completly useless.

i didnt expect much when i ordered, but even those low expectations were optimistic

broke after firing 3 bolts. latch mechanism that holds the wire 'string' would not hold and while
trying to get it to hold, handle snapped in half. cut my hand up too. what a P.O.S. plus, the cheap bolts (plastic) separated from the head
while in flight.

trash. keep your money and use it toward something better!

Honestly, it is one of the most horrible things I have ever purchased. It is horribly inaccurate, breaks easily, and just is an overall waste of money. Do not buy.

I recently bought this for a friend for his birthday (crossbows have been a running joke between us) from the zephyr sports seller on amazon. For the price, and from the bad reviews, I expected this crossbow to be terrible/break after a few shots, but surprisingly, it didn't. While the assembly instructions were unclear and poorly written, once the thing was put together, it was easy to use, relatively (for a $35 crossbow) powerful, and shows no signs of breaking, even after about 40 or so shots. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to buy something to shoot around (although I'm not sure if this is accurate or powerful enough for hunting). Out of all the cheap crossbows on amazon, this is the one to get.

Received bow 3 days ago with mixed apprehention after reading 2 of the unfavorable reviews. If the rails are lubricated with standard bow string wax as with any cross bow.....it functions normally. The engineering/design of this product is remarkable. It is difficult to believe a country(China)can design, produce, ship and market this item for $50. (scarry) Impressive!!! VR Hoser
