I've been extremely pleased with the quality and durability of this 40" soft case. The exterior fabric material and stitching show to be rugged and the (plastic) zipper is heavy duty. The interior lining and padding is more than adequate for general use and storage. This case also sports an external zippered (double) storage compartment that measures a flexible 6" x 11" x 1.5" allowing plenty of room for shells and clips and the 1.5" adjustable sling adds even more to the convenience of transporting. It is note worthy though to mention sizing. This case carries my 38" shotgun and it barely fits. The advertised case measurement is the tip to tip length of the case 'exterior', not the available interior length. Add at least 3" to your firearm length to size this brand. A 42" case would have been a better choice with my shotgun. Also, the butt end of the case 'interior' measures 8.5" from bottom to zipper. Sizing aside, these soft cases are an excellent bang for the buck. I'm expecting mine to last a good long while and survive many trips to the shooting range and elsewhere.

I am always skeptical at first of low priced products that seem too good to be true. However, I took a chance on this case and liked it so much that I bought my dad a case as well. The padding is substantial and the quality of materials is very good. In addition, the zip open pockets allow you to store earplugs, magazines, and speed loaders, which definitely simplifies trips to the range. I plan on buying more for my other short rifles and will recommend these to all my shooting friends. The case is just that good.

I bought this for my Model 94 Winchester .30.30 and am very pleased with it. As others have noted you must order at least two inches longer than you actually need or it will be too small. My rifle is exactly 38" long from tip to tip and it's a very snug fit. The case is well padded and the outside pockets are handy for extra stuff. The carry handles are also good quality and well made and the case balances well when carrying.

Something I wasn't too pleased with is the way it is shipped. The case is unzipped and the barrel end is folded back into the rest of the case and zipped back up which allows for shipping in a smaller package. This causes a crushing effect in the material on either side and makes the case flop around when you zip it back up empty. I've let mine hang empty from one end for a few weeks and this has allowed the padding to expand back to its original thickness.

Over all I'd recommend this quality case, just be sure to order at least two inches or more longer than your gun's actually length.

Nicely made case at a terrific price. When they say 40" they mean 40". My 10/22 just fit without the muzzle break. What makes this case stand out is the exterior pocket. Its big enough to hold extra magazines, ammo, and the aforementioned muzzle
break. I strongly recommend it with the caveat that you carefully measure the length of your gun before ordering.

I don't believe I can add any new information beyond R. Heidrick's extremely helpful review. I can say however that I was very impressed with the quality and finish of this case for the price. I was looking for a handly case to make it easier to get my Marlin .22 and basic shooting accessories to the range, and this case fits the bill perfectly. The case is a good but not overly snug fit for my 37" plinker. There is about one inch to spare around the zipper ends which I think is ideal. The case I am replacing was about 6 inches too long and the floppy end bothered me. I'm also able to fit my spare magazines, a brick of .22 ammo, and eye protection in the side pocket easily. I use throwaway foam ear plugs, but earmuffs would likely not fit in the side pocket along with the other stuff. I am very glad I ordered this case and I think you will be as well.

This is a great value. Lots of storage and a perfect fit for T/C Encore with scope and with 24" barrel. A box of shells fit in the storage pouch easily.

This is a perfect case for my unscoped Ruger 10/22, the pockets on the side hold several ammo boxes and mags and makes it a convenient package when I want to head out to the range. No complaints at all about the quality, it seems quite well built.

I bought this case to hold my Benjamin 397 pellet rifle that I just added a 3 X 9 power scope too. The case fits it like a glove.I am so happy I purchased this case. It is well padded on the inside so make sure you get it a couple of inches more than your guns length. Over all great deal.

This thing screams "buy me!" I went to Wally World and Dickies House of Sportingness and they had plenty of items around this price point, but they all looked and felt like they were around this price point (i.e., cheap). This is a solid piece of work in every way at a giveaway price.
