Bought five of these bipods for about the same $$ as *one* Harris Bipod. And the subject bipod comes with three adapters: barrel clamp, AR15 style, and Picatinney/Weaver rail. A Harris AR15 adapter (no adapters come with the expensive Harris) alone cost me $15.

And, as far as I can tell, there isn't any significant difference from the Harris of which I have several.

Wish I had found this inexpensive version sooner !!!

Great little piece of kit. works just the way its advertised and comes with 3 adapters. The 20mm rail adapter allows it to mount up on basically anything. The legs swing down and when you pull them out have a spring return feature for a quick and easy stow-away. Only problem is that the clamp that grabs the sling swivel likes to come apart, which was an easy fix using just a rubber band.

I bought this bipod for my .17 HMR and was a little nervous after reading the reviews. It seemed that people had a mixed bag of thoughts regarding this product so I will try and spell out what I personally think about it. I thought that putting the bipod on the gun was easy (less than 5 minutes) and the package included good instructions. Whoever wrote the review about it being hard to put on the gun apparently didnt understand that there is ONE screw to tighten and it was about the easiest accessory I have put on yet! The legs seem to be very well made using surprisingly good quality parts and lock into place well. The feet do not seem to slip and are well attached. The quick release is nice to unlock the legs and are spring loaded which return them to the shorter position. The springs operate quietly and have enough strength to make you feel that it is a quality item. The bedding is rubber so that it does not slip or move when installed against your rifle. I did not need any of the adapters but they work for my AR-15. I wanted a harris brand bi-pod but thought for my .17 I would just go with a cheap one like this. Never did I think that I would be so impressed and I am ordering another one for my .308 Remington 700. You will not be disappointed by this! I have been in the military over 10 years and feel good enough about this product to have it on my service weapon. Nice!

pros - parts quality higher than expected
cons - none yet!

UPDATE: 12/30/11 - Just received two more of these bipods and I have to say that the quality is still excellent! I have shot the first bipod with both rifles and now have the third which I gave to my buddy for his Kimber 30-06. Great Product!

I was very impressed with the construction of this Bi-Pod, very easy to install and very steady. I was a bit skeptical when I saw the low price but ordered it anyway....I am not disappointed...even a little. You can not go wrong with this purchase.

I received one of these for Christmas, and have already installed it on the rifle. (a hand assembled AR) From what I can tell so far, it appears to be everything I need from a bipod. This application is a full length AR-15 w/ scope, & add-on pic. rails. Just glad I don't have to carry a rig like this in the field every day, as it is quite heavy, for an AR. You fellas in Afganistan have my profound sympathy, as I'm former military. I know a little bit about field ops, and extra weight had better damn well be justified. Just a thought, but I can recommend the use of Loctite, or similar thread locking compound for all threaded fasteners. The little devils really can shoot loose after a while, and you don't need these kinds of problems in a combat situation. I still have one of the original 'issue' bipods from the early days of the M-16, (before the A1 version). I used to teach this rifle in marksmanship training in the AF, and these bipods were prone to cracking, so I think I would trust the NcStar, at least as much as I would trust the old 'issue' model.

I bought this to use on a Hi-Point 995ts and could not be happier with the way it fits and works. I has improved my prone accuracy tremendously.

For the money this bipod is a great deal. If your plan on using it on a hunting rifle (as I did on a Remington 700 SPS 7mm rem mag), be sure to pick up longer sling pins. The mounts that come with it are not set up to screw into the front rifle sling pin. You will need a 1 inch at the least long pin to mount it. You do not want to mount this to your barrel using the barrel mount (which is a very nice mount) because you want the barrel to float. You wont have consistent shooting accuracy using the barrel mount because of the constant upward force.
All and all great product for the money.
