5.0 out of 5 stars Captivating, engrossing & lush., September 7, 2008
This review is from: Ne Le Dis a Personne (Audio CD)
An excellent soundtrack album that even features noises and dialogue from the film, Ne Dis a Personne was a wonderful thriller based drama with an enigmatic score. 9.5/10.

5.0 out of 5 stars Reminiscent of Twin Peaks, April 27, 2009
By
This review is from: Ne Le Dis a Personne (Audio CD)
This is a very good, very faithful soundtrack that includes all three English-language songs from the film in their entirety (all three are excellent, by the way; my personal favorite is Groove Armada's "Hands of Time") as well as the song that plays over the closing credits. That's unusual because there's nearly always one crucial or very memorable song missing from any given soundtrack that they couldn't get permission to use or it cost too much (for example, "Bonnie and Clyde" was left off of the "Laurel Canyon" soundtrack). That's not the case here. My only objection is that it contains so many snippets of incidental music complete with dialogue, but most last only between 20 seconds and 1½ minutes at most and I wonder why they bothered. But it all adds to the feel of the soundtrack, which reminded me of Twin Peaks. If you liked the Twin Peaks soundtrack you'll probably like this, plus this one is slightly wider-ranging in its overall sound.

5.0 out of 5 stars A combination of pitch-perfect composition pieces by Mathieu Chedid together with a well-chosen shortlist of great songs, June 13, 2009
This review is from: Ne Le Dis a Personne (Audio CD)
This excellent soundtrack is but another piece of the excellent production of the 2008 French cinematic release Tell No One. It's an adaptation of a Harlan Coben mass-market novel of the same name. French actor Guillaume Canet wrote the screenplay, directed it and plays a small (but not unimportant) role. Canet's standing in the French acting community also attracted an A-List of talent.

The soundtrack is a combination of pitch-perfect composition pieces by Mathieu Chedid together with a well-chosen shortlist of published songs. Canet places into perfect position such beauties as Otis Redding's "For Your Precious Love" and - in the movie's most tender moment - Jeff Buckley's "Lilac Wine."
