I'll begin by saying I have owned dozens of flashlights from every make from Harbor Freight to Surefire. I took a chance on this product for several reasons: CREE LED, a setting ring vs. repeated button pushes, AA batteries vs. CR123s, the claimed 310 Lumens, and the magnetic base. After getting one as a gift for someone I bought 2 more for myself. After having it for a while, I'll give it the following:

    Pros:
-Lightweight and easy to hold (not too small or too big).
-Strike bezel protects the lens well.
-Simple use; the button just gives you the setting the ring is set to.
-The magnetic base is quite strong; I can stick the base on the side of the fridge and it stays no problem.
-The zoom function works very well. Goes from very wide to very narrow beams easily.

    Cons:
-The 'Stealth Ring' is useless. It is a loosely fitting ring just behind the front strike bezel that rotates to cover up a glowing red ring when the light is on. I have no idea why you would add this glowing ring feature to a light in the first place and then have a loosely fitting cover for it that keeps slipping off.
-The ring controlling the setting of the light does not fit really well, it is somewhat loose. It stays on the right setting, but rattles a bit.
-Packaging is a pain in the rear. Hard to open, hard to get at the spare batteries and lanyard, and next to impossible to get back in the box.

    Other Notes:
-I like the AAA batteries; easier to find than the CR123s. The downside to not using AAs/18650s or CR123s, so the rechargeable option is a little more limited with AAAs.
-Very bright, but I find the 310 Lumens to be decidedly optimistic.

Product comes in a rectangular plastic container that has the lanyard and extra set of batteries in the base.

The ability to dial in the type of output you want in advance is awesome and once you know where on the dial the different settings are situated, selecting without looking becomes second nature. I always start at the 10% setting.

Another difference is the "reflector" around the led is concave compared to the flat surface of the original redline and SE.
The stealth ring does its job of blacking out the distinctive red feature of the light. It still has the glow in the dark on/off switch with the built in low battery indicator and the ring magnet that surrounds the switch.

All in all a definite thumbs up for Nebo's newest redline.

Had the Nebo Redline 5615 but wanted this one for the quick and easy way to 'click' to select the light mode (Smart Select Dial). Also like the Anti-Roll Tactical Grip that lets you hold the flashlight comfortably between the index and middle finger, while placing the thumb on the the tail cap.

Battery life is not an issue so far.

This model has a sturdy feel to it, but so does the 5615. The magnetic end is a plus in case of power outage during a storm. Can just stick it to the side of the fridge (or whatever handy metal fixture) and let the 10 or 50% light go for awhile.

Never thought I'd pay $45 for a flashlight but am I glad I did. Bought two 5620s, one for the car, one for the house. My wife likes this light so much she wants to get two more for her sisters for Xmas. She says it would be great for when they walk their dogs in the winter evening... tactical face and all!?

These flashlights are bright and sound very impressive but every time I buy one it stops working properly within 2 weeks then completely dies in 4 weeks. I right to nebo tools via email and every time I get the same copy and pasted message saying send it back, then it takes about a month to get a refurbished flashlight that is all beat to heck, then when that one dies they tell me that it is wear and tear that made it stop working even though I just got it from the factory. DO NOT BUY THIS JUNK the price is appealing but you will be very upset when your flashlight stops working when you need it. just like the last 2 that I have bought.

Overall, this light is well worth the price for something so small and so bright. Here are my pros and cons, and my thoughts on some of the negatives from the other reviews:

    PROS:
    - Very Bright!
    - Easy to adjust beam from wide to narrow and everything in-between
    - Projects light extremely far!
    - Light is distributed evenly with no noticeable difference in narrow or wide beam
    - White light shows colors clearly
    - Small enough to put into a pocket
    - Magnetic back is strong
    - Durable

    CONS:
    - Makes a very faint, high-pitched noise in brightest 2 modes (very high frequency - may not be noticeable to everyone)
    - Not exactly comfortable to hold in the hand - lots of angular metal
    - Could be lighter

    OTHER NOTES:
    - Battery: I'm not sure if the 3 AAA batteries are a good thing or not. The life of the light seems really good considering the power, but an argument could be made that it would be better as a rechargeable. I haven't tested the life of the batteries to the advertised life, but it seems pretty accurate.
    - "Stealth Ring:" I don't get why people complain about the red ring. Obviously it is purely cosmetic and it is hardly a distraction next to the bright white light. If you're looking at the red ring, you're going to have spots in your eyes from the main beam. Obviously they built in the "stealth ring" to address complaints, and it does cover up the red ring fine. But seriously! Why? "Don't pay any attention to the white beam piercing the darkness - you can't see me now because I've engaged the 'stealth ring!" The ring is made of metal and is threaded onto the housing. In my opinion it neither gets in the way nor serves a practical purpose.
