A records based summary of the bird species found in NE.,

The opening sentence and much of what follows is yet another example of the tiresome environmentalist harangues that serve absolutely no informational purposes whatsoever, while lamenting the myopia of mankind and denigrating the settlers of the region. Clearly intended to document the decline of bird populations, this book is scarcely suitable for those interested in general birding in Nebraska. The sermonizing is enough to put off the unconverted. The information is dated with the most recent records dated from 1960s. The book I seek has apparently not yet been written. Perhaps Audubon publications are a better place to begin your search.
