5.0 out of 5 stars A Necessary Story, March 23, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Necessary Dark (Paperback)
Robert Harlow is one of Canadian Lit's best-kept secrets, and we're fortunate that his past novels are being made available again through Trafford Publishing.

But "Necessary Dark" is new, and makes us doubly fortunate, because here at last is the definite record of young Canada in World War 2.This is the gritty, unsentimental story of a twenty-year-old pilot's struggle to maintain his humanity and find his own identity amidst the Luftwaffe's attacks on Britain and the horrors of the RAF Bomber Command's onslaught on the Third Reich.

This is real history come alive, and never more timely than today.
