5.0 out of 5 stars Interesting setting...., July 19, 2009
This review is from: Necropath (Bengal Station Trilogy 1) (Paperback)
One of the many reasons I loved this novel, besides the aliens, the spaceport, the threat to mankind, is the setting, the flavor of many cultures, landscapes, and characters all mixed together. Earth is full of different cultures and societies and many authors just don't use that. Alien culture which is, in fact, from Earth and not alien at all. Eric Brown takes us to another part of the world, to a spaceport stationed between India and Burma, with all the weird noise and spicy foods and strange languages and foreign beauty that goes with it.
Then he adds alien worship, spaceships, telepathy and a mystery. What more could you want? Well, how about making this the first book of the series? Enjoy!
