fun, but has some issues,

In this game, you race on city streets, with light traffic, and police who sometimes chase you. In the career mode, you complete a series of races to take over territory. There is also a series of challenge events, and various multiplayer options. The city looks great, and it is fun to race through it really fast. However there were two issues with the game that bothered me.
First, it crashes a lot, at least on my new MacBook Pro. I almost returned the game as unplayable, because it seemed impossible to get through one of the first races in career mode without crashing (the software, not the car). Fortunately, I discovered that if I disconnected my external monitor, I could get through this race (and then resume playing on the external monitor for a while until the next software crash). Don't ask me what causes this behavior. Second, the career mode seemed too easy, and therefore a bit boring. I could win most races on the first try. (Due to an unfortunate incident unrelated to the game, I had to stop playing after completing only the first third of the career mode. Also I didn't try the multiplayer. So maybe it gets more challenging.) Cars seem to be indestructible (except that you lose a canyon race if you drive off a cliff). The only hard part is to evade the police, which is kind of tedious. You have teammates who are supposed to help you in races; I could never figure out how to use them, but I didn't need them.

I just got this game and I am thoroughly enjoying it. It is fun and I get to drive fast without risking real-life damage. I am not much of a gamer, I just like driving games and this has what I was after.
Of course, I did some research on the game before I bought it. I heard about it crashing (the game exits during play-time), and I have already had that happen once, but that is OK. 'used' game (still in the wrapper), $[...]: totally worth it.

This games, for effects, is not too bad. I have a problem with race car games that don't show actual damage to the cars. You can spin out, run into buildings, and hit other cars without any wear to your vehicle. Again, this game is fun, but I expected more.

Great Game: Poor Information,

The game is great, I've played it before on PS3. The only thing wrong with this is that it does not specify the video quality your computer needs. I had to run the game in the lowest quality, even though I had the requirements it listed. Whenever there was a movie sequence or I raced a Boss it would lag to the point where the game wasn't fun. Normal races ran great for the most part.

Installed on Mac Book without problem. Easy game controller set-up. Graphics and action are great.

Fun ... but very demanding,

This game is really fun. You can mod your cars to a much further extent than previous NFS.
However, I don't think you can run it on integrated graphics. I have a MPB and it works flawlessly

My son found this game boring, boring, boring. It was too hard to steer, or keep up with the other cars (despite his extensive gaming experience) even on full speed. So automatically losing every race made this game boring very quickly.

I loved how this game looked but when I tried to play it on my mac mini; it wouldn't work. I found out that it is not compatible with mac mini's standard video card (GMA950) and that you can't install a different video card on the mini. So beware all you mini owners; stay clear of this game unless you want to end up like me.
