The Best Need for Speed yet!,
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Need for Speed: Most Wanted (Black Edition) (Video Game)
This is definitely a game for racing fans and people who love tuning cars. In this game they actually have the exotic cars (Porsche, Lamborghini), which makes it even better. They also added cops in this game, which they never had in the previous Underground games.
Now to the game. In this game there are alot of cars. You can race from the old school muscle cars to a tuned up race car. And even the police have nice and fast cars. But they can be really tough at times (especially the SUVs). The Storymode actually kept my interest throughout the whole game (unlike the others that were quite boring). There is a Blacklist that you must beat in order to become the #1 most wanted. In this Blacklist, there are 15 experienced Street racers that you must beat in order to get to the top. They each have their strengths, so it can get quite challenging at times. Another cool but at the same time annoying thing is when the cops interfere in the middle of a race and once you beat the race, you have to escape them. So it's very interesting and fun. As for the gameplay, it's actually easy to get used to, even though it may seem difficult. It's also not complicated (PS2 version), it's mainly like the previous Need for Speeds. So you'll learn it like after the first race. The graphics are one of the things that caught my attention. It's just so smooth and seems real. And the videos also seem very realistic and are always fun to watch and can be funny (when you get busted by a woman). Overall, there's not much else to say except, go out and buy this game if you love racing games. Oh yes, and buy the Black edition!

The Hardest NeedforSpeed Game yet!,

I just bought the Need for Speed most Wanted game and it's great. It was very hard after blacklist number 11 but as hard as it came even to the challeges all the way up to Black list 1 was worth every dollar. I wish I would of bought the Black Edition in stead of the regular version. It excludes you from 4 cars and I really looked forward to getting the Corvette C6.R at 100% but to realize it's for the Black Edition only along with the Camero 67 and so on But the BMW M3 GTR I thought was the best in the game. So if I were you if you want the full 100% of Most Wanted get the Black Edition don't get the regular version.

EA Sports has taken in demand racing to a whole new level. We all agree that NFS Hot Pursuit 2 was so hot because of the cops. Lets just say that NFS: Most Wanted has taken the cops and the combination of Street Racing (NFS: Underground 2) to a whole new level. I'm talking about the capabilities of modding Murcielagos, and McLarens, etc... Being chased by at least 5 cops (depending on your heat level) supercharged Heavy Duty SUV's and not to mention a helicopter that just doesn't go away is intense!!! Who ever buys this game will be having hours of fun!!! I surely did!!! "For The Real Gamer - 100% Complete is a TRUE Gamer, don't give UP!!:-)

Need for Speed Most Wanted is easily one of the best games in the need for speed series. I heavily enjoyed playing the career mode over and over again (I am a HUGE fan). The graphics are pretty good (even on PS2), the car selection is great, the car handling, upgrade, and tuning systems are perfect, and to top it all off, the gameplay mode is fantastic. The game's great. It's so great, I couldn't wait to get the black edition game.
Boy was I disappointed. This is about the biggest waste of money I can think of. I hardly think any of these so called "bonus features" are worth 15$ extra. Fortunately, I was able to get it for around 10 bucks on eBay, and I feel sorry for anyone who didn't get this price. AnywayI'll go over the extra stuff for you. Let's start with the extra cars. The "new" BMW in this game is just a grey, downgraded version of the blue-and-white original version. This car is absolutely nothing you couldn't get out of the said regular car. The CAMERO isn't bad, a good American classic car that is a good edition to the original list. Oh...wait...I forgot. Both of these cars are bonus cars. You can't use the sucky BMW or the okay Camero in career mode or in My Cars. They're untuneble and unusable in any other race besides a quick race. Which brings me to the next thing... The career mode. Well, this is the worst disappointment. The black edition career mode is identical to the regular career mode. Besides the extra vinyls (which aren't good either). There are only three of them. Yellow text spelling "most wanted", a white...wave thing, and a sea turtle (???). They're all on the side, so you can't even see them when you drive your car. Actually, no where else unless you go into picture mode. Next, the bonus races. These aren't that bad. There are about 10 total, and they're exactly what they're supposed to be. Nothing more, nothing less. Finally, the bonus DVD. Whatever. This wasn't at all what I'd hoped. There are a few SHORT videos about the making of this, but they're just random production videos mashed together. No interviews with any producers except Josie Maran (Mia), who just calls her character a bad a*s and that's it. There are also videos of the city and sketches of the cars, but nothing else. In conclusion, this is great if you HAVEN'T already bought the original, but if you have, stay away (unless you get it for free).

The game is the best when it comes to police car chases but EA could have done a better job in car customization.

First, the package: the description listed it as "Acceptable". However, with the exception of the factory seal, this came looking like a new game, even with the bonus DVD! Shipping was fast [enough] and it arrived with no obvious dents or scratches. The disks were in pristine condition - WELL DONE! I wholeheartedly recommend this seller (Forournewlife - I gave up figuring out names a long time ago) to anyone checking out games on Amazon...As for the game itself... It all started in 1996 with "EA presents the Need for Speed" on Windows 95. Now, it has progressed to Need for Speed: the Run. However, while I am waiting on this version, my wife wanted this to use on her PS2 - to replace an old, used version she had gotten a while before. GRAPHICS: - If you are accustomed to PS3, xBox 360 and HD gaming, then this game will insult your eyes. I personally own the PC version of this game and was shocked to see the quality of graphics in this game. Granted, it was before HD came out, but I was not expecting it to look so hazy and cartoon-like. Now, don't get me wrong - this game looks good...for 4 years ago. Quite frankly, if Electronic Arts wanted to make some more money, the should make a PS3 version of this game - I would recommend that immediately, with no hesitation at all. SOUND: - Using the "optical" connection from the PS2 to my Logitech speaker system, the game sounds very realistic - even like its PC version I owned. Voice acting from the police squad cars, the characters were a little predictable, but believable. GAMEPLAY: - Unlike all of the other racing games out there, which focus mainly on racing, this game works a little different, even introducing a story line. Granted, the story is a little weak, but it works, somehow. Need for Speed (NFS) has a lot of titles out there from "Special Edition", NFS III: Hot Pursuit (the first one in which they introduced police), NFS: High Stakes, NFS: Porsche Unleashed (all the cars were from Porsche), NFS: Hot Pursuit II, then NFS: Underground I & II, then this. After Most Wanted came NFS: Carbon, NFS: Pro Street, NFS: Shift, NFS: Hot Pursuit and NFS: Shift Unleashed. In ALL of the games listed, this is the one game I would repeatedly pull from the shelf to play. All of them after Most Wanted just leave the police in the background, whereas in this game, you would find yourself playing with the police - you have to ram them, damage them, maintain a certain amount of time with them chasing you, you would even go looking for the police, just to fulfil certain criteria, but it is very well thought out and executed. PS2 Exclusive: After playing the game on my pc, I found that the PS2 version had split-screen racing capabilities, similar to MarioKart - something which had never shown up on the pc before. So, if you are looking for something to play against someone else without having to buy another console or tv, then this is something worth considering. However, unlike Mario, NFS:MW will only support 2 players. I would recommend this game - the PC version to anyone thinking about it.

I had this game for another console but also wanted it for my PS2. The game is in great condition and works like any other game. The cover and manuals show little wear. The game itself is just fun if you are really into racing. Most wanted Cut scenes are my favorites.
