When I recieved NEEDLE FELTING in the mail I was a bit disappointed by the small size of the book and the lack of color photos inside although the cover is in color and shows nice examples of small projects. It also has a spiral binding which I like.

The information in the book is simple--needle felting itself is incredibly simple! I have done one project so far from the book and it turned out very nice. I quickly learned to make the project uniquely mine by felting in my daughter's name on it. She loved it.

So should you buy the book? It did teach me the simple process of needle felting and it was a lot of fun (think voodoo dolls with pins) and my project turned out very nice--so I guess I'm glad I bought it. It's also something that you can do rather mindlessly--no counting or learning stitches. It's quite relaxing.

I just thought it would be a book of more substance and have at least a few color photos to inspire me. I think the book is overpriced for what you get--that's my main criticism of the publication and that's why I give it 3 stars instead of 4.

When I purchased this book other people had said that the pictures and descriptions made it a good book to purchase as a new needle felter.

What I found was a book that was all in black and white, the cover throws a person off a bit being so colorful.

Also it's a tiny book. It's the size of books you would buy for a toddler.

Not a good buy.

I wish I could return it, but maybe I'll be able to sell it off for like $.50 to someone else.
