1.0 out of 5 stars Foundation is wrong
Satan is not in the third heaven in ancient Hebrew writings. Google it and see. Jesus said Satan was thrown down to earth where he remains to this day. God didn't exault Satan over humans as this book states.

That means we can and should attack the powers & principalities with the conferred authority we have from Jesus. Now we need to expect counter...

5.0 out of 5 stars Life Changing Book!, February 8, 2002

Lana (Cleveland, TN United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Needless Casualties of War (Paperback)
John Paul Jackson's teachings have changed my life! This book made me aware of foolish ways I had engaged in spiritual warfare. I changed them immediately! There is so much conflicting information about spiritual warfare today, especially about binding, loosing, and commanding the powers of the enemy. I had never felt completely comfortable with some of the ways I'd been taught to excercise my authority as a believer. After reading Needless Casualties of War, I went to the scriptures and asked Holy Spirit to confirm this to me. He did. Then I went to my knees in repentance. I was horrified at how some of my methods of prayer had actually empowered Satan to operate, by attributing more power to him than he has.

Now my prayers are not only more effective, but my relationship with the Father is more intimate. As I focus on staying under God's cover and listening for His instructions, He can send me on "strategic" intercessory assignments of His planning and not my presumption.

This book has actually saved many ministries and lives, who, like myself, had unknowingly thrown themselves directly in the sights of the enemy's artillery. I have given this book to many ministers and intercessors. They have thanked me for it.

Thank you, John Paul. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

5.0 out of 5 stars Required Reading On Spiritual Warfare !, December 8, 2002

(REAL NAME)
This review is from: Needless Casualties of War (Paperback)
Seldom has a book about spiritual warfare been as timely and relevant as this one.

I have read many excellent books on the subject, but this really is an absolute must read!

Spiritual warfare is an aspect that cannot be avoided by Christians, and wisdom in such matters is absolutely paramount to prevent us from unwittingly falling into Satan's snares and to protect us from Satan's onslaughts.

John Paul Jackson examines the parameters of our spiriutal authority in facing Satan and his demonic realm, together with the practical guidelines that need to be followed to proceed in such matters on a Biblical basis.

A number of real-life stories are referred to in what is a highly recommended read. All Christians need to access the information provided in this book. Kindest regards.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wow - An eye opener that increased my confidence, February 18, 2005
This review is from: Needless Casualties of War (Paperback)
This book really brought me a lot of confidence with regard to spiritual warefare, as it clearly explains boundaries that the Lord gives us. John Paul Jackson did a great job of highlighting the "do's and dont's" in a positive, uplifting way that tells it straight, and I found myself filled with more faith to ask God to move and for his will to be done.

This is a must have book for all intercessors. It gives those prayer warriors the boundries that we all need. It is not, in any way, limiting but very freeing. This book gave me the ground rules for intercession. I loved it!

This review is from: Needless Casualties of War (Paperback)
This book combats and comes alongside other books available on the market, which have and are leading people into dangerous and unauthorised areas of prayer. It is very well presented and easy to read. It is written in such a way to make it seem as though you are in conversion with John Paul Jackson. A must for every person who prays!

4.0 out of 5 stars This book could save your life!, November 24, 1999
This review is from: Needless Casualties of War (Paperback)
There's a lot of misinformation and misunderstandings out there about spiritual warfare, binding and loosing, and all that. What you don't know can kill you! The author painstakingly gives the historical biblical roots of spiritual warfare, starting with Adam and ending with Jesus. He carefully shows where the believer's authorities are and, importantly, where they are not. This level-headed look at a very hot topic today will keep you under God's covering and set you aright in your biblical responsibilities and authorities in conducting spiritual warfare. The focus is where it should be -- on God and on the role model that Jesus provides for us.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Rules of Engagement, April 9, 2001
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Needless Casualties of War (Paperback)
This book is a must for anybody involved spiritual warfare. It clearly defines how and how not to engage the Enemy. John Paul points out that God should lead spiritual warfare. He gives real life accounts that illustrates what the consequences are when we engage the Enemy presumptuously. He then shows how to engage the Enemy the right way.

I have met John Paul Jackson at a dreams and visions seminar and purchased my book there. John Paul is a genuine, sincere and humble teacher.

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent book. Could be better organized, January 17, 2001
This review is from: Needless Casualties of War (Paperback)
God spoke to me through this book. It is simple in its premises, yet profound if you are someone who has spent time in prayer and spiritual warfare. I was force to re-examine the scriptures that talk about spiritual warfare and the approach that Christians should take. My only complaint about the book (for which I deducted one star) is that it does not break specific scriptures down well enough and at times the book seems to be disorganized. This is a minor complaint, considering the impact this book can have. It's quick and interesting to read, containing poignant personal experiences.
