I either overlooked or it was not printed that this product does not work with Windows 7. Now I have a product that I cannot use that cost me more in s&h than it accually cost. This was something that I was really counting on too. Not a happy customer.

Not compatible

Received item very quickly. However, cannot use it with my new computer. It appears to be non-compatible with 64 bit.

Had hoped to transfer my data stored on 3 1/2" floppies to new computer, but have hit a standstill. Have no idea how to proceed.

This item is USED, it is not new

This is NOT a new product. Some Chinese company has taken old, used floppy drives and housed them in new plastic, and sold them as new. I ordered two of them, and they were both used. They both have stickers on the bottom with a part number and serial number. The stickers on both drives have the exact same serial number U393536. The Chinese are just using the same generic sticker for all the drives, they don't even bother to change the serial number.

One drive is still working, the second drive has already broken.

I took the plastic housing off the bad drive and it is obviously an old, used, scratched, Sony drive from an old computer.

Amazon should be aware of this and should not let them be sold as New.

works with my windows xp

Its a simple plug and play device and does the job. worked flawlessly on my xp and I didn't need to install any driver. However, i did browse through the cd and it only have drivers for windows xp/98/ME but did not see any driver for windows 7.

Fine working stand alone flash drive

With the drive that I purchased I can view and print many of the pictures that we had taken in the past. I had gotten a new computer that did not have the 3.5 floppy drive installed. As I looked for the new one I could not find one with it installed. Over the years I thought that they were lost until I found a stand alone drive advertised on Amazon. Now I am enjoying seeing the older pictures again.
