The eye relief isn't good enough. In other words you won't be able to see far in dark or dusk bc the scope doesn't let enough light in the lens. Get a spotting scope or binoculars that are 50mm,but you will spend a lot. Best bet is a cheaper night vision scope.

There are a number of companies that are currently selling monocular that they claim has magnification 15-55X. In my opinion these monoculars actually have a magnification of 10-30x. That seems to be the opinion of a number of people who bought these particular monoculars. I would say that the 15-55x monocular can see farther than the 8x22 though. I hope this helps you. The 15-55X monocular is still a good monocular for it's price.
