Length: 0:57 Mins
This timer works just like you need it to. Has 4 settings. Delay, Long, Interval and number of shots. Lets say I want to set it up to wait 5 minutes, then start shooting a picture every 30 seconds until the card is full.
No problem.... Set a "delay" of 5 minutes, then set the "long" for 1 second, the "interval" for 31 seconds ( 1 sec exposure + 30 sec wait ) and the "number of shots" for "-". Now camera will take a picture every 30 seconds after an initial wait of 5 minutes, until the card is full.

You set a "long" for 1 second, because unless you are shooting star trails, 1 second is long enough to have the shutter button held down.

If you exposure requires, say 6 seconds and you want to wait 10 seconds between each shot, you set the "long" for 6 seconds, but add the 6 seconds to the 10 seconds and set the interval of 16 seconds. ( if you think about this it makes sense. )

To take star trails, put camera on tripod. Point it at the north star. Make a few test exposures of 15, 25, 35, 45 seconds to see what is best photo and not overexposed.
Let's say 30 seconds is correct. Set the "long" for 30 seconds, the "interval" for 40 seconds ( 30 sec exposure + 10 sec wait ) and the "number of shots" for "-". Now camera will take a 30 second exposure picture every 10 seconds until the card is full.
Setting the 10 second gap between photos, will result in a nice continious star trails

The manual says "number of shots" is 1-399, but trust me, if you enter a "-", it will run forever. Works great.

It works as advertised. It was easy to setup even without the manual. Great device. Print in the manual could be a bit bigger and it could use an on/off switch.

This remote timer works well with my Canon Rebel XS. The trigger performs the same functions as the on camera trigger. ( focus, exposure metering, shutter release) Trigger has a lock that is easy to access for bulb exposures. The timer is easy to operate once you experiment with it for a few minutes. The instructions included are not very detailed but the timer is easy to understand.

The timer does not have a on/off switch so you will need to remove the batteries when not using the product. The two AAA batteries are not included.

This is a good product at a great price. I don't know why I would pay more for one of the other timers.

Item is great, but it does have drawbacks:
1. No off switch. Either leave it on or take the batteries out.
2.When setting the numbers scroll down only. You can not scroll up. i.e.. To go from 400pics to 1 pic you have to hit the down button 399 times.
If you can deal with that it works great and is fairly simple to operate, and the price is right.

Works as advertised. Great value. I agree with other posters regarding the absence is a power switch. The display staying on is not a big deal. Current draw is akin to the wrist watch, which I'm sure the two AAA batteries could power for years. 399 exposures could be a limitation to those who do long time-lapse sequences, but works great for my purposes. Quality is shockingly good for the price.

This item works just as it should with no problem at all with my Canon SL1/100D.

It has no off switch as people have mentioned but it's no big deal, it will run like a wrist watch just sitting in your camera bag. It does come with a button lock on it which makes none of the buttons work while engaged and whilst in my camera bag I have decided to use it, just so a jostle in the bag doesn't inadvertently start the time and accelerate battery depletion.

I have a Canon SL1 (or 100D depending on the country you purchased it in I think) and it works just as it should. The SL1 is (at the time of this review) the newest camera that Canon makes I think. So I think that it should work with all of the Rebel series cameras as they all have the same remote release jack.

There is a bright, white in color, LED back light on the unit that will stay on long enough for you to program it up in the dark if that's what you're doing and will turn itself off after some time has lapsed (the manual said "about 6 seconds"). It has a beep that will beep for every second while it's counting down. At first the beep noise sounded a bit strained - kinda like it didn't work right, but after a little bit it started sounding like a normal beep should. I guess it just needed to be broke in a bit. The beep can be turned off if you don't want it going off also. There is also an LED in the top right hand corner of the display that indicated what mode the remote is in while executing it's different timer functions. It moves between off, red and green. There is no obvious way to disable it.

This intervalometer / remote shutter release works perfectly with my Canon G15 and is very easy to use. Since the cable is only 3ft long, I purchased a 12 foot long 2.5mm stereo headphone extension cable which also works perfectly with the Remote and the G15. The remote does not have an on/off switch, but I don't think it matters since it runs off of 2 AAA batteries and probably uses about the same amount of power as a digital LCD watch when not in use. The only weirdness is that it is labeled "Shoot" brand instead of "Neewer", but it appears to be the same remote, apparently just rebranded by some other distributor. A very good value!
